I personally if the smoke they came from was good I would let them go at this point they've vegged a while and being more than likely a photo have potential to give a very good yield even if you only end up with a couple of females... You could also see which ones are females and try and grab some clones right away and keep it perputual... And in the mean time there really is nothing wrong if have another spot to veg some autos and when they start to flower if the photos are not done you could always throw them into 12/12 with the photos...
Also if you go with say one of the sweet seeds fast verisons you could do one from seed 12/12 and still get a good yield, same with most of the dp strains autos they can be such big yielders in your situation they would do fine under 12/12.... No need to start from scratch as either way you'll have a yield ina couple of months
