Hi all, this is my first post. Thank you to everyone for the amazing information, insight and experience on this site.

I have a Blueberry Auto that is in day 57 from seed. She is doing well and flowering, although leaves are starting to get a purple coloring to them. I'm not sure if this is a phenotype of this plant or I'm missing something from my nutrient dosing. She has been on 20/4 light since day one, growing in ProMix HP, and fed at about 30% dose strength veg and flower nutrients (appropriately) every 3rd watering.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks.
G

Can I ask what your temps are in your space? I had a gorilla glue go full purple on me due to the cold. She look beautiful but didn't bulk out. Lights on temps were around 19C and off probably got down to close to 10C. (Tent in the garage, UK winter... Brrrrrrr).
Advice I got was to maintain temps above 24C.
If your temps drop below 19c... start to worry... if they drop bellow 15c... worry loads

Here's a shot with the LED off, taken with my phone flash. Hope this is close enough to normal light to help.

Temps during the day (20 hours) are 74F (23C) and 69F (20C) at night (4 hours).

Thanks for the replies!

:toke: Gramps-- It could be normal color expression, which BB certainly is known for, and it could also be early P defc. symptoms, or both! What nutes are you using? How much to dilute starts with those NPK#'s first,.. have you increased it at all since starting? I think she's now ready for more, PK especially as bloom begins,... ramp that feed up now,, but let's see what those NPK's are first,....

Sorry, for the delay responding Waira. I can't tell the NPK on my nutes, they are a generic brand from my local hydroponics store. The veg and bloom nutes are 2 part liquids each but there is no NPK on the bottles.

Both call for 5 ML per Liter of water. I started feeding veg in week 3 at 1ML per liter and increased that to 2.5ML by week 5, all on a water-water-fert cycle. Flowering started in week 6 and I have been feeding the bloom nutrient at 2.5 ml dose since then, every 3 days.

I started adding 1ml of CalMag+ last week as well. Do you think I should go to full 5ml/l dose of the bloom nutrient now? Should I be feeding every watering or stay on the same cycle?

The purpling has become very pronounced but the leaves are not dying nor look ill in any way, so I am guessing it's a phenotype display. It's very attractive! Also in the grow is a same age Northern Light auto and it has no purple on the leaves.

Here's a picture, it's really noticeable in the leaves mid plant. Seems to come out once the leaves are a week or two old.

Anyway, all good, no stress with anything dying off on me.

Thanks
G

I'm leaning toward normal color expression mate, so stay on the feeds, and try one round at full strength and see how she responds... watch the leaf tips for signs of nute burn,... over all, it's been light feeding, fairly infrequent, so some minor defc's may be in play, ... let's see what she thinks about a bigger meal,...
