New Grower Question about grow box size

How many fans should I have? I've seen people using a neutral intake wich I think that means that there's no fan, just a hole, should I have a fan for intake?

Hi Chupa :)

I don't think i said hello before now! :welcome: Hello! :)

You wont need a fan for intake - just get yourself a nice out take fan and set it up the same way as andy did above.
I had a very similar setup although my filter was on the floor, next inline was the fan sat ontop of it, then i attached ducting from the fan to a whole in the top side (i needed the top as a bed side table and it had to be more discreet!)

So .. the fan on the floor is sucking hot air from the top of the cab and pushing it out through the filter

Hope this helps a little
All the best

Blue ^_^

Hey man and thanks :Sharing One:
So I'm gonna need a intake hole on the bottom and a fan at the top, will a pc fan be enough?
It seems that your box was/is pretty similar to mine, I'm gonna have mine by my bed. Here's a photo of the box. The shelves are gonna come off obviously eheh.

Btw, this are my options for the strains, I might try a new seed bank in the future but for this should do it, I'm inclined to the Afhgan Mass but they all look pretty sweet, any advice?

A lot of this is trial and error, Chupa. The best thing you can do is start putting things together and then do a test of your environment before you plant any seedlings. Run through a couple of days of full light cycles and see what your temps and humidity are, and that will give you a clue whether you need more fans, etc. Passive intake is usually fine unless you have some serious heat issues. I had a heat wave during my first grow and needed to add an intake fan to increase the airflow. If you're in a place with air conditioning and cooler intake air, you likely would never need more than a fan at the top sucking out hot air.

No, I dont think that I'll have any heat problems, at least for now.
Do I really need to measure the humidity? I wasn't really remembering that, for the temperatures I can use any normal thermometer right?

i just made a box slightly bigger then the one you talkin about.. 55 x 40 x105 cm.

Humidity is very important to growing plants. I'd recommend picking up a cheap thermometer/hygrometer combo. Ideally one that will tell you the min/max range for the last 24 hours. That way you have an idea how much your temp or humidity spikes during times when you're not looking inside the box. You'll also need to know the humidity during the drying and curing phase. My local Walmart has them under $10.

This is what gets me hyped. I might use mylar on mine instead of painting but I don't know yet, I might order my light, the seeds and the mylar tomorrow.

Will something like this be enough for now?

It even has the time and everything eheh.
Ok, the only thing that I haven't planned yet is the filter but I'm gonna do a homemade one, that should be enough I hope and I still need to cut the circles on the box, the problem is that I don't have the drill but a friend of mine probably has one so I hope that it won't be a problem, I still need to learn a little about connecting the pc fan to the eletricity because I'm a complete zero when it comes to that :grin:7

EDIT: Nevermind, I just searched for 5 minutes and found that I can just connect it to a 12V phone charger
