Hey guys I'm adding nutes and um using my Hanna meter which I never use and its stable at 6.69 sometimes jumps to 6.70 then goes back down..

I know 6.5 is ideal but I'm pretty sure if i add acid it will be to low, then i will have to add more base and maybe jus make it more off and be more of a headache.

So if I water with water at 6.69 or 6.70 will the soil adjust or anything or do I need to get it to exactly 6.5? Also I may have been watering with my ph to low before but I'm not forsure cause I was using a liquid test..

Please let me know I'm literally sitting in front if ny water / nutes / meter / etc. :toke:

Thanks guys

are you checking your run off?? if your run off is at 6.69 or round abouts thats not too far off to be honest and for soil to buffer its self i thhink its only orgnic brnds that do it but im not 100%
If my PH was in that range i wouldnt do anything unless i started to see any signs of lock out

Just had a thought if your PHing your feed before you put it into your soil and its at 6.69 then the runn off will mosy likely be differnt check your run off and let us know

6.5 is the optimum,but anything from 6.0 to 7.0 is exceptable.:smokebuds:

6.69 was the ph of the water I was putting in but after I calibrated my meter and rinsed It I was getting around 6.3...I added a little base at a time and managed to get a stable 6.53-6.54 so I watered with that.

Although I measured some of the runoff in my liquid test and it seemed a little on the orange side so ill see how they respond..

The runoff water I tested had little pieces of soil in the water so Idk if thats why it read so low?

Thanks man. I got it to about 6.5 but like I said in the other post my runoff read much lower so Idk how the nutes will take

N I thought I had it just right too...

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. :)

I'd lay off ph'ing completely as you may introduce problems. If your water is stable like that and your giving a plain watering between feeds then the soil should correct any fluctuations unless you are using a custom compost, FFOF or promix soils. If so it could be anyone's guess what PH the soil will buffer to.

Theres no point measuring run-off in soil it's not going to give you an accurate reading until it has sat wet for a good few hours.

I didn't give a plain watering between feeds.. I fed veg nutes about a week ago and I fed bloom last night without any plain water in between..is that bad?

What were you told when you asked this on the other thread? But, don't worry, if you ask it enough, someone will give you the answer you want. X
