Grow Mediums Quick question on hydroton

Hey guys just wondering if I can use just hydroton as a soil mix in my autopots . Reason being don't have much room for mixing dirt or coco etc in my grow room.

Would be a lot easier to just wash and reuse hydroton for each grow.

Dont think you could don't know if it would suck up the water (autopots use gravity)I use canna coco out the bag no messing around with it you don't even need to add perlite hope that helps [emoji106]

Would it be a good idea to mix canna coco with hydroton as well?

I'm currently growing in dwc and have no idea about auto pots but I'm liking the idea to setting it and forgetting it as dwc takes up a lot of time in my busy schedule.

Some people put a layer of hydroton at the bottom of the pots around the airdome some folks don't you can reuse coco if you add say cannazyme at the end of your grow it eats up plant matter and turns it to food but I don't reuse it's cheap enough just to buy a new bag for me

I have 2 4x4 tents I'm planning on using 1 for a dwc scrog and the other for a 4 pot autopots system. Just reading up more on the auto pots don't know if I mm going with the xl version or standard... I will be using air domes tho

I came over from the DWC side and like what I see so far with autopots. Check out @Hansbricks's featured grow in this forum, he is growing in straight coco.

I've only got 1 4x4 I alternate between buckets and autopots I'm using the standard 15 ltr pots for the Autopots and 30 ltr buckets for dwc

You definitely want to read some of the grows on here. Several have quickly outgrown their tents even with the standard 3.9 gl units. It's what kept me from buying the XLs.

I plan on using the smaller strain autos in the autopots and doing auto ultimate in the scrog.. I like having a variety to smoke lol
