Indoor quick question.

ill get to the point here guys.

i have 3 beans that are in a paper towel ready for pots.

i have a fresh bag of ocean forest and light warrior.

my last grow i layered some light warrior on top of some ocean forest. thinking back i didnt find that method very useful because the seedling is just in the middle growing down and out so having a semi thin layer wasnt kinda just wasteful.

This time i would like to completely fill the pot with ocean forest but instead of layering just dig a hole out and put some light warrior in there so later if the soil shrinks down i can just put more ocean forest on top, and not have 3 different layers know what i mean?

i definately dont want to burn themin the OF i know its hot, so how deep and wide should i make the hole of light warrior to be safe?:smokebuds:

I'd start them in solo cups full of LW, then either transplant or tier them into the pot of OF...

32oz cup, put the cup in the pot fill in around it, pull the cup out of the ffof. and fill the hole wth lw. and vuala.......

what it be dumb to..

fill my pot all the way with ocean forest...then take a single red 32 oz cup with the bottom cut out..then put that on top of the ocean forest but filled with light warrior?

i know thats basically the tier method but im growing all fems, so i would have the cup in there since day 1.. i was just thinking it would give my roots a little more room to grow down since im only using the 3 gallon pots or would that have no effect?

if i did do that..would i water inside the cup or outside around it?
