I have an auto candy kush growing in a net pot in a custom aeroponics set up. Just noticed today that sections of the roots are starting to turn a rust red color. Is this a bacteria or a fungus?....Is it a health concern or should I not worry.......plant is 16 days and looks awesome. Running fox farms grow big nutes

Here are a couple pics

take a rez temp and be under 70*!!! I would run some H2O2 in there and kill what ever that is and check and double check your rez temp!!! More info on your setup/last rez change and the like, would help for a diagnosis.

Rez change every 5-7 days, 5 gallon.....I don't know the temp though. What is h202, peroxide?

Hey Newguy :smokebuds: briman is right - res temps are the most important environmental aspect for healthy roots & needs to be kept low or your really asking for trouble .

100% light proof res is a must & nastys can grow with the smallest amount leaking in.

H202 is peroxide but you need the hydro version & not just hair dye !... its very strong so you need the right stuff & use the right amounts in the right way ...i don't use it so thats all the advice I can give .

zym is a good preventative as well

myco / bennie tea is another great cure .... better than H202 I think "My 2 cents"... theres some great sticky threads at the top of the hydro section ,with lots of info

heres a awesome thread from a new member you should find very helpful

Thanks the info. ....It hasn't progressed at all in three days, kinda thought that was weird. If conditions exist to grow it should grow rapidly I would think.....got to figure out a way to get res temps down

She looks great day 17 I think...color on roots has not increased at all....made so adjustments so we will see how it goes
