New Grower Regular Seed Dilemma, 6 Beans 4 Pots

Just thought i'd put this out there to help decide what to do
As the title i've germinated 6 reg. MI5 with only 4 pots available, and hoping for 2 females
They are in small pots atm and will soon be planting into the 4 airpots
2 are showing and 4 yet to show, I can see the soil rising so deffo on their way
My question is would you assume the first to show be males? And plant the 4 late showers? Or plant the 2 and 2 of the next to show?

Hopefully someone will understand that and give some input

Thats why I stopped buying reg seeds,to eliminate those problems.As far as I know there is nothing saying that males are first to germ,or visa versa.You need some more pots for the seeds and planting two to a pot might work but it's better to go one per pot to avoid over growding.I know some seeds only come in reg but if you buy all females you eliminate all that hassle.

Generally speaking, males are the first to show sex and usually the larger plants at that time. Of course, there are always exceptions. I've had late males show up long after all the females had sexed. I grow regular seeds most of the time. I start mine in cut off 1/2 gallon juice containers which are big enough to get them to sexing, then transplant into the final pots. Saves a lot of space and soil.

Totally agree Namvet, with the small space i've got for winter crops feminised has got to be the way forward, I'll just have to get over the 5 fems for the same price as 10 regs, I'm optimistic saying that I dont think I've ever had more than 5 females!
