New Grower Rental Inspection Monday - 1 Hydro plant in Week 5

I have grown DWC for a long time, and after seeing this in the other thread I got to thinking, and I thought about a garbage can. I would def go with your spare rez filled halfway up with the nute solution she has been in(I would make sure to leave some space between the net pot and the top of the water) Check out the Mini Kratky 1.0 grow it should help ease your fears about leaving it in the rez for a few hours with no pump-Pop22 is doing an entire grow with no airstones! It would take a long time to kill your plant due to no pumped o2.

If it were me I would def cook bacon and break the tent down early in the AM leaving the light and bucket going as long as possible. I would even cook a BLT for lunch, put the spare rez and lady in the recycling wheelie bin when you get hom for lunch. It should be ok for 4 or 5 hours in that state so hopefully it won't take very long for the inspection. Inspection went fine but went sideways for a moment. The agent was inspecting a grating right at the feet of the recycle wheelie bin with my girl in there. I just casually put my arm on the lid and kept up the small talk.

Just about to have the same issue.. Really handy thread. I have a few cardboard boxes packed so ima just hide her in a big one in the corner. Was curious about how long i can keep the roots out of water and how long i can go without the pumps, put my mind at ease after reading.

No home owner who rents property wants growers mostly because of fires and other issues. just play it cool if you live in a apartment, grow it low and stealth!

I bet your heart was racing for a bit? Good to hear all is well now. Also next inspection you know what to do with your plant.

I would not leave the plant without water in the bucket for more than a couple of hours. As for the pump you can go a couple of days at least without a pump, just make sure you leave a space between the net pot and the top of the water so that the roots are exposed to oxygen. I am assuming you are doing DWC as well and not soil. I would do just like he did and if possible get an extra bucket fill it with plain pH'd water about 1/3 of the way leaving at least 2 inches between the bottom of the net pot and the top of the water(that is key so you don't get any root rot issues)

My plant was in the bin for 5-6 hours with no light or o2. My rez was halfway full already from her drinking so I just splashed 3 spoons full of 3% h2o2 in the rez.

I began the breakdown at 7am, got the tent, filter and lights down, stowed and locked in the garage by 7:30....went back to bed....left the girl running on the air pump in the room naked until 9 when the scheduled appointment was. Got to 10 and called the agent to get over asap.

The actual owner and wife turned up, focused mostly on my grow room coz they are thinking of turning our unit into an office building because the street is being rezoned. I really need to buy a house!
