Lighting Replacing CFL with LED. (info needed)

Thanks Red!

I'll be adding the CFL's and start a grow-thread soon(ish) waiting for the seeds.

Probably will need to put another exhaust fan as these CFL's produce quite a bit of heat.

Thanks everyone :)

You can save a little on leccy and control the heat by adding the cfls in stages mate,while its a seedling and small it won't need all that light,you could introduce more as it grows and build up to max power :smokebuds:
Iv also moved this thread to the lighting section mate

I would suggest you buy yourself a GN ms006 if you feel like to much power draw you can switch off 2 or 4 modules !

So only seedlings --> 2 spots on = +- 65W
during vegetation --> 4 spots = +- 130W
flowering --> 6 spots = +- 190W

I you wanted to push the grams like you said I would go for something trusted!

Thanks. Nice idea, I'll probably have the LED's only for the first week or so, then slowly introduce the CFL's week-by-week. Thanks for the suggestion.

This forum has the best idea's in the world, some things I'd never have thought of without you guys!!

Thanks everyone :)

Good luck on your fourth grow, 600w for 2 plants seems excessive glad you sorting it out. Good luck with your purchase.

If your grow space is only 1 m tall I think you should stick to the CFLs is they are working for you ... :smokebuds:

Check out BayLee420's success w/ CFLs ... https://autoflower.net/forums/f24/bubblicious-redu-22061.html

I would be concerned w/ distance from light to canopy limitations w/ a 1 meter height ... most 50w UFOs can be used closer than more powerful lights ... depending on your past success w/ CFLs perhaps just upgrading your bulbs would be a better use for your $$ ...

Use some scrogging if height is the problem :Cool:

after reading through the thread, what has been said about 100 watt's a square ft,:smokeit: is very good advice! i run in one tent, for three plant's, two 240watt blackstar's and two cfl's at 55w, 150w equivlent, that's 630 watt's for three girl's 630 divide by three = 210 watts per girl, and i would be dissapointed if i didnt get at least 3 zip's off of a plant, usually Latley, it's been four:dance:if your grow is in a box, for stealth reason's then you cannot grow that much bud in a box! i guess what i am trying to say....is, if your not in a box, then slap every lumen you have to the girl's, put the boot's to them!:howdy:

Yeah. I have plenty of space, plan on doing some major re-construction with my grow area.

Thanks for all the advice everybody.
