Old Reviews RO or dechlorinated water

I was at the hydro shop today when I saw he had both RO pumps and a a pump for dechlorinating or however you spell. The smallest ro pump was $114, and the other dechlorinwhatsamajig was $64. My question is simple. What is my best option here. I'm willing to get the ro pump if its that much better

Personally R/O water has nothing in it, declorinated tap water has trace minerals in it.... There is a type of clorine that doesn't evaperate, I forget what its called? maybe piggy will stopin.

Hey bro, im pretty sure its called chloramine. ........and R/O water is stupid cheap from wally world, just bring in gallon jugs and refill them urself. its like 14 cents a gallon. I use it religiously lol

Chloramine. I'd be cautious of stocking up on water on a regular basis at a retail store because if you're doing any serious growing it's a major telltale sign for LEO. I own an RO unit that attaches to my hose bib, cost less than $100 all said and done, and gives me 0ppm/7.0pH water every single time. Worth it.

I go to a small market that has a huge ro unit and everyone that I know that grows here goes there too. $1 for 5 gal of RO water. Don't use anything else

If your tap water has low PPM and contains chlorine and not chloramine, you can just let it stand for 24 hours and if you want, also add an air stone to oxygenate it. Won't cost you more than $20 to set it up. But if your water has high PPM and chloramine, I'd recommend an RO unit. I got mine off of eBay for $100, free shipping. If you do decide to go with RO you'll need to add enough cal/mag solution to it to raise the PPM back up to around 100 - 120 PPM to replace the trace minerals that the RO process removes.
