Rookie first grow outdoor autos uk, help and advice welcome

Thats alright then 🤣🤣 i started feeling the dissapointment for you thinking it wasnt intended with having all them plants together 🤣
Just an FYI, @Mossy is one of the original breeders of autoflowers years ago. She is a founder here at AFN and the salt of the earth. Her strains grow in some of the most challenging environments I have witnessed over the years. I mean like blooming in the middle of winter? She can beat most everything except caterpillars and geckos  . She has a strain that gets you high from the touch then licking. She is a tireless contributor to the autoflower genetics and this forum. Thank you Mossy.

This chart gives a rough guideline for nutrient needs and of course the time for transition is variable with many variables at work. The thing is N is still needed into the early weeks of flower then tapers off quickly.

I wrote this primer on using salt fertilizers. It was written with autoflowers in mind, you may find it informational:

I’m assuming you advise putting calmag on the shelf only for soil growers?

I wont use ladders for mine as i did get a free photo seed and planted that in coco and i knkw coco needs all nutrients but i havnt mentioned that because my intention with that was to mess about with it, try topping it and things to see what happens its purely there for the sake of it not because i expect anything from it lol, i was gunna purposely cause deficciencys in it so i could see it with my own eyes lol, wierd way to learn i suppose but 🤷🤣

Well since coco needs at least 4ml per gal you should be able to see what a calmag deficiency looks like 😂

Its only had 1ml since germination and that was 10 days before i started my autos as i was going away for a week so i didnt wanna start the autos 🤣 tbh it hasnt had a lot of feed at all lol, its half the size of the autos and ive topped between 5th and 6th node but that only took an inch of the plant 🤣🤣 maybe that has something to do with it, and also how much of a lighter green the leaves look 🤷 im not overly worried as i say its just to mess with i dont want or expect anything from it, my thought process was by that time in the year when a photo would be ready for harvest they would be too much moisture in the air for me to beat the bud rot outside bere in the uk 🤷 but as ive said early complete novice so i could be wrong lol

Not weird at all, I still feel that way. She is a legend.

Well Cal-mag overuse was the number one cause for lockouts when I was working in the infirmary. Most purchased soils have Dolomite Lime included in the mix. It is a long lasting mineral that will provide more than enough calcium for our plants, through several grows.

Coco on the other-hand is a form of hydroponics and Cal-mag is needed. Using soluble gypsum for the calcium and AG Epsom salt is the best way to supply it separately IMPO.
