Guys I am not sure that I have this in the right spot , [ Mods move it if wrong ] I am starting to understand root systems , in the photo is the roots of a hash plant I grow , never mind about the grow , it's what it is telling me in my mind right or wrong , so what I am about to say might be way beyond wrong , so here we go and please advice me on my thinking , 1/ is the top of the plant , 2/ is the feeder system, 3 / is the tap root , [ water ] . Now I have been a bit paranoid about over watering, I check the moisture level a lot , I have a very good meter , so am I right in thinking that you need to keep the feeder system damp all the time and not let it dry out if that is where the plant takes most of it's nutrients from ? I am also seeing pot size makes a difference , The bigger the pot size the bigger the root system the better the plants seem to be ? I know guys are growing big plants in small pots, put I am a long way from that , now what made me think about this , is I had 4 Incredible Bulk and some super skunk , 1 of each was in large pots , and they out preformed all the other , IB IN 100 ltr and Skunk in 20 ltr , with the IB it is still outside and seems to be handling the heat ok , would that be to the root mass ? I let the top part of the soil dry out to about 4 in before I water - feed it , and it seems to be able to take a higher PPM than the ones in a smaller pot . so am a right in thinking , bigger pot - more roots - take more feed - bulk up better - less acceptable to heat stress , oh and all where in the same dirt and same nutrients , [ the others I put back into the room to finish ]
.
