Extraction Rosin as ingredient for making a cream/ointment/salve for pain

Any recipes for making a canna cream using rosin? Maybe mix in with shea butter in a double broilers like the edible chocolate bar recipe?
Hey Lunar :)

I don't have a recipe however I have added concentrates to my canna ointment.

The method I used was to first dissolve the concentrate in a smaller amount of the carrier before mixing it into the larger amount. This way I could break it up and dissolve it more evenly.

I use coconut oil but others use shea or others.

I add a bit of oregano, lavender, and mint to cover the smell, help preserve the ointment, and add medicinal properties. You could simply use quality aromatherapy oils or of course extract your own!

Hope this helps.

Thanks @VitaMan

So what would be the carrier to dilute rosin in to something that can mix? Shea butter? and then mix that in to a larger amount of coconut oil?

I use coconut oil, myself, but Shea, cocoa butter, just about any fat should work.

To clarify, I dissolved the concentrate into a small amount of the coconut oil, then mixed that into the larger amount of coconut oil.

You might want to put some beeswax in, especially if you live in a hot place.

Thanks. Switching gears a bit.... have you done many topicals with CBD/THC 1:1 and even high CBD and low THC and what did you notice when it comes to treating pain with the topical? I'm shopping around for CBD beans right now and not sure what ratio of THC:CBD to go with.

I haven't done any topicals with high CBD yet. My Industrial Plant CBD (1:2) has just poked it's head above soil and its the first high CBD I have grown. Not sure what I will ultimately do with her- probably depends on how much I harvest.

I have purchased CBD isolate and concentrates, and so far have just made tinctures or vaporized them. I have been browsing CBD strains, probably get a 1:1.

FWIW I have made topicals with 1:1 and 1:2 ...result is 1:1 works better for me...i have not tried it with my high thc stash.
