rotting leaves

Got back from football practice for my boy and checked plants. Another one of the leafs started doing same thing or I missed seeing it this morning. Kinda looks like the tips just melting off. It didnt go back to the leaves I trimmed. Hopefully thats the last 1 lol.

The leaves all look as if they are absorbing moisture. Happens with hydro and can happen if plants are in any medium and RH is high.

Plants get waterlogged so to speak. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transpiration

A small rotating fan will help. Bet they grow right out of it as they get bigger.

May be other opinions out there. Just speculating.

Cheers

Heh, I was worried about the hunidity inside the house so that was one of my reasons for misting. Its so humid outside here that I probly pump 10 gallons of water a day outside....hey I should use that water instead of my city water for my plants. It shoild be the same as distilled water. Damn why didnt I think of that earlier. And thanks for your imput man :) going to read u linked.

Indoors, using that water will increase the possibility of introducing parasites or disease.
If you aren't having water issues with your city water, it is probably best to use that.
If you are doing outdoor hydro or aquaponics- different rules- go for it.
The rotting tips were most likely from the misting.
