Hey Missy, just have a minute for a quick post, but wanted to respond on the GREATNESS that is LSTing. I sort of did StickMan's noob method on 4 of 6 ish week old Autos. The results I see from these have sooooo sold me on LST for all.:thumbs:

My new Autos, 4 HR Auto Diesel Mix, and a couple of Easy Rider Auto xes, Oh they must be about 10 ish days old.
Note to self, KEEP BETTER RECORDs I know that you keep very exhaustive records, as one should.
Also 2 Ghaze x C99s have been up for a couple of days, I will start LSTing them as early as I possibly can.

Anyway, I don't know if you came across this tutorial but in MHO, it's the best I've come across. http://growher.com/low-stress-training.php

Hi Mz. S'- That Stickman has me thinking about LST,... LOL! now something else to research!... I put handles on my pots because no one place private enough gets the full days sun, so I have to move them once a day, late afternoon, to catch those last few hours,...and Smart Pot Co. can bite me for the extra $2+ they want for handles that are cut right into the fabric! Besides, my store doesn't carry them anyway.....

Yea, last night after I wrote about LSTing I went out and am now doing it on everything. It just makes so much sense concerning getting all the light you can to as many bud sites as possible, plus the physiological hormone action of potently creating additional sites. What I am using is light gauge plastic coated electrical wire. Bending a hook on the top like a candy cane to hook the branch with, and sticking the other end just enough in the soil to hold. I know many people do not want to stick anything near the roots (but after all, I am StickMan :smoke . So, far I haven't seen any detrimental effects, but then again I don't have anything to compare too

I will try to get out and get some shots of the girls here in a bit, and post them on my thread.

Aaaaahh, handles make sense then if you have to move them... We're lucky the yard gets pretty much full sun for the majority of the day. And DO do some research on LST if you have time - just one more technique to influence the ladies to make many colas!

!! I can't find your thread! These last days are kind of a blur, not sure if I saw the pics... I can picture the green wire looped around a branch, not sure if that was yours now or a diagram from the page you gave me... LOL Anyway, I went ahead and topped the white dragons because they were just too tall and stiff I think. The jack cheddars are still small enough I could start on them... Thanks for letting me know you stick the end in the dirt - seems like it wouldn't be strong enough to hold when the soil gets dry... Maybe my soil just seems loose, but I think it's worth trying to figure something out, huh! :thumbs:

First things first: is this a manganese deficiency?? Just a couple of older leaves on one of the white dragon are affected, and at first it looked like something spilled on them... If it's a deficiency would it necessarily affect more leaves?



Next up - I topped the 2 spindlier white dragons - the smaller one above the 3rd node and the larger one above the 5th. Did it last night and today they look a little pissed! LOL The tops where I cut them look like open wounds - couldn't get a good picture, but hopefully in a few days they look better.

You can see I accidentally snipped the small branch coming out of the right side... It's not totally off, there's a little stem there, but I have no idea if it's going to come back.

Amnesia Haze
She's the only single in the group, so I have nothing to compare it to in the same strain. She's not as green as the others, and her leaves are wrinkle-ish... They have always been that way so I figured it's unique to her strain, but it's possible she needs more nutes or more water than the others, I dont know. Any ideas?

LA Cheese
This was the last cheese planted that was runty before, but it's practically caught up now! In fact, those gigantic leaves look almost too big for the plant - like she' wearing mom's shoes and make-up to look older... Seems there's always one in the bunch I want to make fun of! Those leaves are bigger than my head, though!

That is encouraging to me that you feel that your second Photo grow is already 800 % than last years. We can research all we want, but there is no substitute for actual experience, is there ?

I have a Blim Burn Farm Auto AK growing with my auto group right now that hasn't flowered yet - it's day 42 or so for it. I think it might be a regular plant...

Yea, I have a Duurty Dragon about the same age now, it still hasn't shown any pistils , with my whole 2 and one half months of growing experiance I'm 99% that is a young lady, by other tell tale signs. Well, it may not even be a DD , as it was gifted to me by someone here at AFN. The other 2 which came in the same package are Autos.

Yea, I had one of the Mods delete it for me for several reasons. The two primary reasons are the time factor, and not being able to purchase a decent camera right now. I spent a lot of time with my existing camera, and still get such s**** pics. Waira offered to use his thread if I want to post any sort of updates or pics, I will take him up on it, since it�s primarily you and he, that were viewing my thread anyway.

Concerning LST, I don�t consider it nearly as important with the Photos as it is with the Autos. The primary reason I�m doing it with my Photos, is that I have lots of room in my containers. I cut the pieces of wire long enough so that they don't pull out of the soil when it is either dry or loose in anyway. Some people just use wire coat hangers,

Here are some pics of my attempts thus far. I have several more Autos either in seedling stage or just germing, so that I can start training them as early as possible. IMHO, I believe it is very important to LST Autos, for obvious reasons.

Helloooo luvie :smoke: No worries, that certainly isn't Mn defc. (usually affects younger leaves); it 'looks' more like Ca defc., which is also doubtful, since you're in good soil/ nutes/ using tap water (not RO/distilled); likely just got damaged a while ago, or as you said got splashed with something....unless there's more affected leaves, fuggetaboutit!...
!!! those photo chicks are crankin' and spankin', Mz S',.. Heh-heh-heh,..alllriiiiight!! Seriously, great work on those beaut's- fence-to-fence goodness! I think you AH is fine, just a little 'different'- LOL ...like my odd-ball petite red dwarf... Watch the stem 'wounds' just to make sure the plant sealed them up, and no fungus tries anything funny,.... LAC- yes! funny stuff I like her the best too! Wow, the leaves are spanning that wide already? ... she could be a :beast: ...and probably will! The NYPD girls are looking very lush as well.... LOL!
