Thanks for the compliments on the babies - photos are so EASY compared to autos.... I freaking LOVE the bushy/leafy stage they're in...

Great pics of the LST! I finally got out to the hardware store and scored some of that coated wire! I can get bending soon!

You know, that AK that was so tall finally showed it was a MALE - not sure if you saw that... Some feminized autoflower, huh! :twist: Glad urs is looking female, but keep an eye out - I got tired of checking and when I finally saw them, some of the pollen sacks were already open! :hot: No seeds so far tho!

You know, bad news about the spots/yellowing - it's showing up on the Jack Cheddar too - just one leaf so far... I started a thread in the Hospital/Infirmary section (I love that!) and Muddy agrees with you about looking more like a calcium problem. I agree with you that it doesn't make sense! He has me checking the pH - I just got a new soil probe yesterday but the stinkin' battery that came with it is already "low power." LOL Got these cool drops to check the runoff too, which I need to get out and do this morning.

THANKS for giving the girls some love! They seem pretty happy - so far so good!

Watch the stem 'wounds' just to make sure the plant sealed them up, and no fungus tries anything funny,.... LAC- yes! funny stuff I like her the best too!

You're feeling me on the stem wounds! I AM a bit concerned... One looks like it sealed up lower into the cut- there's a little hollow cup at the top. The other one looks completely different - like the "rings" of the stem browned to seal the wound. I'll keep reporting the progress!

Glad you like that LAC too - what a scream, huh! It's going to be a good year, I hope!

Unless there is an epidemic of leaves turning yellow or otherwise looking like they're dying---especially young, small ones at the top half, I don't sweat it. I have seen so many photos of killer buds with yellow leaves that I can't help but conclude that some leaves turn yellow and it doesn't mean anything bad is going to happen.

Going for perfect green leaves from top to bottom is like a human expecting to be pimple free or mole free or to otherwise have blemish-free, porcelain skin all their lives.

Pot is a hardy plant. With the exception of nute burn, she can take a considerable amount of abuse---abuse usually caused innocently by neglect or over-reaction.

As you spend more time with your girls you will develop an intuitive feel for how to feed and care for them. You are allowed to go off the grid of the advice from anyone. Most of the best advice at AFN comes from those who realize that there is no one-size-fits-all advice. The more you love to grow weed, the more you develop a symbiotic, intuitive relationship with it.

You grow lovely healthy plants. :thumbs: Don't sweat the yellow leaves. If it were me, I would pinch them off. I am a remover of shade leaves when they block bud sites and node sites. And yet, I don't top my plants. That main stem cola is the main enchilada of any plant! That's gonna be the bestest mutherfucken bud on the whole plant! An alternative to topping is leaf pinching and tying down the branches.

But it's all trial & error, and it's all subjective. I grow by feel, more than anything. And, come to think of it, that's how I live my life, too.

Hi there I just posted at your hospital thread,...things make a little more sense now,... pH lockout! There's a good plan to fix it there though,... How do the stem cuts look? Do you have neem, or some other anti-fungal, like sulfur? A dab will do ya,..! **** I love the Solstice family portrait! The leaves on the LAC look even more out of proportion from this shots perspective... :smoke: (LOL! I did briefly see the auto shots over at the other thread,... Man, they did not like their gears ground like that!) You certainly can't see any sign of trouble from this pic! Come bloom time, it's gonna be olfactory overload around your 'hood!

I appreciate your thoughts and agree that many times new growers overreact to a little blemish or something. I have been growing for 3 years now - getting better every time! Anyway, my intuitive feel was that this was not just normal.

As it turns out it was something that needed attention - had a nute lockout which is something that needs immediate attention - that's another thing one intuitively learns as you grow - knowing the difference between a blemish and a problem.

I couldn't agree more that trial and error is how most of us learn to grow! I learn most after making my own mistakes...

:eye: The cuts where I topped them look better, I guess... The one with the "woody" response looks better than the one with the cup. Pretty sure I don't see any signs of new growth yet tho... :joint: I don't have a fungicide on hand that I know of. I'll see if I can get pics of the tops but they don't like to cooperate! LOL

I'm actually a little anxious/nervous about them as they grow larger - the aroma last year was STRONG, and I only had 3 plants that were really producing anything... Not sure how that's going to work this year! :hot:

I'll be over to your thread later, waira - the ladies are plumping up NICELY at my last peek! :thumbs:

We had humidity in the Bay Area like I don't ever remember yesterday, and everyone in the garden was like "Hell YES!" so I took pics. There is a little discoloration on a few leaves, and one I really should have pulled off before taking pics LOL but overall the pH issue is coming around.
