Mephisto Genetics Save the Date

I want to be excited for this one but for me IMO its too many crosses I'm worried it will take away from the WC

I am with you in thinking that. I guess any photo to auto cross has to be done with a auto breeder but it seems like CDLC has strong unique terp. Add Double Grape to the mix and you got a lot going on but I guess it's all about the selection process and I am in either way.

@TheFerret - thing I like with Meph is most of their crosses they list their rationale. IMO it does a good job expanding the gene pool to select from, but as @NorseGrower said it’s ALL about the selection and stabilization process from there. For me i’d like to see them backcross a winning WC auto pheno from the F3s to the Seed Junky WC cut and stabilize the autos from that BX. All that said I am curious about how much pheno variability there will be, an if there’s going to be any intersex issues that have been seen with jbeezy’s WC…at least by home growers who might not have the environment locked in like a breeder would, so not sure if breeders who work with the cut see that issue.

This is also the first cultivar developed at the new farm in Nothern California. Since they have so much more space I assume the breeding pool was much larger than previous projects simply due to having the space? Hopefully that will lead to excellent phenotype stability. I also thought CLDC was a bit of an odd choice. Forum Stomper might have been more synergistic, but I think WC already has some cookies heritage, so the CDLC will certainly bring something new to the mix.I love gassy terps, so I won’t mind a little fuel to go along with my cake.

Snagged a 7 pack. I will plant one right away. I gave my bro huge list of genetics to split a plant and with him knowing nothing he chose Wedding cake which was a Barney's auto now in day 25 or so. But that name wedding cake was the lure. So I'm going to get one of these going and do a split of this one too so I can get some side by side with another wedding cake auto.
