Yo guys and girls!

Hope you are all well..

Just wanted your opinion on SCROG vs LST for yield.

I am growing in a greenhouse so no worries for space.. :)

Which have you used? have you used both? Which technique produced more bud?

Regards,

MaG

I don't really know, ive never done scrog. But pondering it for a minute I think I would go lst, seems that scrog is most effective when using a indoor lighting to make a large canopy, but under sunlight I think you might be wasting space below the canopy because the sun is so much more intense than any indoor light and moves around all day.

Ahhhh ok..

THANKS GUYS!

I need to do one or the other as I think I have planted my babies too close together.. :/

I was thinking SCROG as I have some mesh laying around but if you guys suggest LST, LST it is :)

It kind of depends. I do alot of pruning with scrog. Alot. And as such I don't use it with autos. For autos I lST. Now you and I have both seen very successful scrogs o autos- think different was the first I saw- and so there's no doubt that it works. I believe a key to a good auto scrog is to utilize techniques more in line with lST- than all the pruning you might typically see in a photo scrog.

I love scrog- because I use CfL lighting.

I have found, however- tat lST has been able to provide more than adequate canopy management for some
Really good autos under cfls. So- if scroggimg an auto- put down the nippers, and get out the zip ties and string- and train to the screen in a fashion more consistent with lST than you might otherwise, and reap the benefits of both systems.

Neither if you're growing outdoors, those techniques are used indoor to keep the bud producing zone in the best light. Let them do their thing outside for a better yield.

Indoors I've had massive yields using scrog and cfls, but that was with a photo plant. I've had less so with lst, but it's still worked.
