Hey Folks,
Here are some of Sawney’s Lecters that I germinated a few weeks ago. They are 22 days old and they’ve been growing in a couple different areas until I finally had a tent available for them.
As usually… the pre soaked seeds were all started out in 1.5” rock wool cubes then planted in 4x4 Grodan blocks when first sprouted. 5 days later the roots penetrated through the blocks and it was time to place them on the wrapped 8x8x3” rock wool slabs that they are sitting on now. The slabs were set on a 3x24x48” Botanicare ebb&flow tray with a 30 gallon reservoir underneath which is only filled half way. The stand that holds the tray was made out of scrap 2x4’s and piece of 1/2”plywood that I had sitting around the house. The lighting I’m using are 3 $45 100 watt Maxisuns that are currently set at 60% power. The main NPK I’m running is Humboldt’s Secrets A&B formula with Botanicare Calmag. When the plants are about 2 weeks into flower I’ll cut out the Calmag and substitute the ppm’s with General Hydroponics Koolbloom, G/H Nectar and Power SI (bloom). The plants are currently being watered every 12 hours for 15 minutes increments, at about 650 ppm. When they get to be about 5 weeks in age I will increase the watering and flood the tray every 8 hours while slowly increasing the strength of the nutrients.
Here are some pics that will get you updated and caught up on the progress from when the girls first sprouted.
Hope everybody enjoys the grow.

There can never be too many of your sogs to watch bro :d5: glad you set a thread up for these girls.. I love the lecter.. assuming your cubes and slab are plastic wrapped to protect your roots from the light??

Also.. when you pull the tops over and pin them down do you move the wire at all as they grow or just pin down once and leave the branches to find their own way up?

Great info and pics for anyone wanting to try flood and drain m8:worship::pighug:

Thanks Hope! :d5:
You’re always in for a good SOG.

Yes… after I cut the slabs I use panda film and a hot glue gun to close them up and keep light out.
After I initially pin the top down with a coat hanger stake I will adjust the stake and top site a couple times a day to make sure the top stays horizontal. When the plants are about 2 weeks into flower they will eventually pull the stake out but by then you will already have multiple bud sites at the top of your canopy.

For anyone that’s interested, here are some Slaughter Lambs I started at the same time as the Lecters. The only difference between the 2 grows is that the Lecters are on 8x8x3” slabs and the Slaughter Lambs are set on 6x6x3” slabs. Doesn’t seem like there’s any difference so far with growth… we’ll see how the final outcome will be in about 6 weeks.
