dw1--very nice plants. Given no PH meter = truly outstanding.

picked up a marine ph test kit today. It's not very acreate, it can only be a rough guid. It goes up like 6.0, 6.5, 7.0. Anyway my tap water looks to be somewhere between 6.0 and 6.5 and as far as i no that's not to bad. when i made up a feed it lowered the ph to 5.5 to 6.0. I'm having problems loosing alot of leaves around the bottom of all the plants that are in the light mix soil so i think thats deffinately gonna be ph and i have no idea how to change this problem either so any advice would be greatfully recieved.

Also i went over to dutch passion forum about my tall plant and i've had some pretty good feed back. dutch passion Tony said that it could be a desireble pheno and most think it's the 100 day pheno as well.

and there are many ways to lower / raise ph...

vinegar and baking soda are easy ones... but there are better ones ... have a read... then see what questions you have left for us on that stuff and we'll be glad to walk you through...

No that's ok, i do understand about ph but i'm just not sure how to up or down the ph in my feeds or water.

You also want to check your run off. Next time you water give enough so about 10% runs out the bottom of the pot. Capture and test that as well. That will give you a better idea of the actual soil pH.

Will do that when i water them tonight mate. I don't want to feed them again untill i no i'm not hurting them cos i think the ph is to low in my feed and that's why i'm loosing so many leaves at the moment. At least that's the conclusion ive come to now but i'll proberbely be wrong knowing my luck. Oh well guess i'll find out later tonight though hopefully. thanks again for the help chap.
