Second Grow Sweet Seeds - Dark Devil. Purple genetics or some type of illness.

I know this strain is supposed to turn purple, but it only turned two weeks old today and the new growth has very dark purple/black streaks on it. I wanna make sure the plant is supposed to look this way and it's not like a fungus or something. I assumed I wouldn't see any purple until the plant was much much older.

I really can't see any purple on your plants.They look just fine to me.You might get some purple color on some stems later but that's normal.

oh I see the purple.did you leave a water drop on the top of her when she was smaller and the light might have burnt er a lil?even so I think she has grow past the purple I see anyways.

It's in the center of the plant on the new growth.

she will grow right out of it.i had it a few times,not sure what it is possibly genetics.but it will go away as she gets bigger

Half'- It's all good mate, that color in the very early growth is normal in some strains, and also can appear in plants that have nice strong light on them,... that purple-red color comes from protective pigments shielding tender growth... it'll fade out as the leaf matures.. purple color in DD usually starts to show in sugar leaves and bud crowns after they start forming up! A side note on that, Sweet says there's about 20% chance color won't manifest-- luck of the genetic draw! the buds will still be excellent though,... it's Sweet after all!.. some of the very best genetics out there...

If you're getting purple now, you're pretty sure to be in the 80%

So jealous, dark devil is the next strain I want to get! Cant wait to see this thing flower. I got some purple on my photo plant due to cold temps. Even as a young girl... Just saying. Don't know how col outside there is.
