To fish or not to fish? What a stupid question :)
Your girls are looking fine. As far as ph goes, I use a different method. I use an "accurate 8" soil probe to check my soil ph before feeding and then adjust my nutrient ph accordingly. For example, I like my promix ph to swing from 6.5 dry soil, to 6.0 wet soil. So if my dry soil before watering is 7.0, I then adjust my feed solution to 5.5 which then gives me a wet soil ph of around 6.0. If my dry soil ph is low then I feed with a higher ph feed solution. I have not ever paid attention to run off ph. This is just my method and it works for me. From what I can see, you are doing well, so don't panic and just listen to your plants. They will tell you what they need, it just takes a little time and experience to learn to speak "plant", but you will catch on quick. Keep up the good work my friend and I will be following along

Henchy- How exactly are you testing pH in the soil and run-off? I mean procedurally,, not what equipment... Duggy is right, the run-off method is at best, when done right, an estimate,... done wrong, and it's rubbish readings all day long! As a method, it's fraught with potential sources of measurement error... many just test the run-off alone, using buffered water, or worse, nute' solution
, collecting it out of a dirty saucer
