Hi all,

I've never grown marijuana before and decided to have a shot at Auto blueberry from Dutch Passion. I planted the seed directly in my growing medium (high quality expensive soil that has time release nutrients and has a approved water tick for water flow) i didn't germinate it prior to planting and planted about 1' below the soil. I've been playing with the seed over the last 1-2 days but haven't damaged anything, i just checked to see if everything was going okay. There's a very big root forming down and it looks white and healthy (i uncovered to check).

The issue is the seed pushed itself out of the soil but the stem looks really dry (not sure if its suppose to be that way) but it almost looks burnt, one side of the seed has cracked already.

I've only watered twice over the last 10 days. Both waterings were 20ml (measured with watering syringe) and watered directly on-top of seed. I misted the top part of the soil every 1-2 days (not direct water, but a mist from my spray bottle).

The growing environment is in a greenhouse and it's been placed on the top shelf in semi direct sunlight. Over a misted sandwich bag plastic dome with 1 hole at the top for oxygen.
I've added no extra nutrients in the water, etc. Will my baby be okay? :jaw:

Just leave it alone and keep it moist and warm and it should be ok.

Unless thats a typo I'd say your burying a bit too deep

Probably burried a little deep ...next time burry it at about 3 times the size of the seed deep ...so maybe1/2 inch or less ... But like NAm said I would just leave it alone... as far as it looking burnt ...it easily could be...what kind of soil are you using? it may be too hot for an auto seedling ... Usually it is recommended to start autos in seedling soil or a light mix ... Don't panic just keep misting the soil ...dont get it overly wet though...and where is your relative humidity at ? and temperature? Good Luck man ! you will be fine just if you have a question ask AFN first before doing anything drastic and don't mess with it now cause it is too young and can't handle the stress

Thank you so much for your reply. Humidity is at around 80%+ and temperatures are around 30c - 35c in the greenhouse during the day and around 8-13c during the night. It's good soil I've used it to grow chilli's thrived in it really well. It was the most expensive and best soil i could get.

Yeah I'm going to completely leave it alone, no watering, just misting every day or second day. I also used tap water, put it into a bottle, got a airstone with a bubbler and left it bubbling for 24 hours to oxygenate the water and then left it inside the greenhouse for 24 hours to remove any chlorine then watered that way. (just thought i should add this)

I understand. But sadly my iPhone broke and my iPads charging. I'll get some pictures up tomorrow. The seed cracked and looks like its going to open up soon but then again it looks stuck, maby I'm just too paranoid. I'll have pics up tomorrow, thank you for reminding me.

if the stem starts to bend down from the weight of the seed attached,you may want to aim your mister into the crack and also from the soil level up to the seed jacket...this extra moisture should help her shed the seed jacket....If you try to remove it manually,be extra careful of the membrane between the outer husk and the coty,its sticky .

I am no where near experienced enough to go about doing this.
