Just leave it be. Being impatient will only kill it, you def will only do it once. They are plants they know what to do and they will find their way out. Just be patient.

As far as the stem looking burned, the soil has time released nutrients which could be too strong for the tiny seedling.

Im not completely positive, but the humidity and temp are a bit high.

I've used it to grow a number of plants, including tomatos and chilli's from seeds and they've thrived really well in the soil. I think it's just me being too impatient!

I'm going to keep humidity at 80% for the next 24 hours, then lower it at 35% - 50% after that. Temps aren't within my control sadly.

Okay just a small update,

Watered the plant with 10ml today - the left side of the shell appears to be very slowly moving off, while the right side is still completely on. I'm going to continue to mist twice a day and see if i get results.

Another small update,

Just took off the shell. Misted 2-3 times within 15 minutes and the shell came off with a pair of sterilized tweezers. You can see a bunched up green looking thing inside (the first set of leaves). Thanks everyone for the idea to do this. Pictures coming soon.

Update --

It died. Stem dried, top leaves didnt open and dropped. Pulled it out shortly after, roots were dry and stem was severally dry. Ohwell.

If you'd like my advice, I'd say the soil looks like the culprit - to my eyes it looks a bit manky - do you have access to any grow shops near you where you can get specific growing soils like biobizz light mix or even John innes seedling starter and some perlite?

I only have access to grocery stores. Next time I'll buy the seedling premium soil and try it in that. Soil appears to be the culprit. I'm going to re-try again with different soil and under cfl, not in greenhouse.

I'll re-try again with the same strain - Dutch Passion Blueberry auto fem. ;-)
