Hi everyone. I’m growing 3 Sour Crack. I’ve attached a pic to showcase the issue at hand. The plants are 8 days old. They’re in 3 gal airpots. In a 2x4x6, with one autocob for now. The leaves are twisting. I’m thinking it’s a result of either:
Light was too close or I fed them way too soon. On Sunday night I fed them 1ml of AN voodoo juice, grow A&B to 1.3L of RO water. Each plant got between 250-300ml. Conditions in the tent are 24C and 40%humidity. The humidity was in the high 20s/low 30’s early on. The twisting worsened in the last 24hrs. I fed them plain water Monday night and again about an hour ago. Would love to hear your input. Thanks in advance

what soil are they planted in? Nutrients should not to be used for the first 2 weeks in some soils, and some mediums like coco need very small dose from the start. how far were your lights before lifting them? how far are they now?. possible combo of light and PH issue..did you measure PH of water before feeding?

Bro...i just posted in your thread and saw this new one. I'm just trying to help although I might not be qualified (hopeless newb here). I'm sure other gurus will add in or correct me if im wrong.

Basically, just reading the above confirms my suspicion of overwatering. If today is Day 8, it means you watered on Day 4, Day 5 and Day 8. Thats probably way too much to water. Let the seedling reach down and around the soil. Let it have a chance to dry and not drown it. I read that when oxygen is used up in the water, it will drown/ suffocate the roots, causing damping off. This happened to me too. Thats y im trying to help fellow newbies from making my same mistake.

In Promix HP, lights were roughly 40 inches for the first 5 days, then 38, then 36 half a day then dropped to 28-30 inches for half a day before putting them back to 36-38 inches. Now I’ve got them at about 40in. I’m using ph perfect nutes and haven’t checked my water. My water is RO and comes through a 5stage filtration system. The water sits out prior to be used.

Hey man thanks. Appreciate you taking the time to respond and help out a fellow grower. On the bright side, I don’t think they’ve been overwatered... the airpots dry out very quickly. Also the amount of water I’ve been using has been pretty low. In total they haven’t received more than 500ml each in 3 gal pots their entire time above ground. Fingers crossed that this has no bearing on the end result but I’m honestly confident that it’s a non-issue. I just want to definitively know what caused it

Thats what I meant bro...I use fabric pots that dry quick too. My temps are super high. 32 C daytime is considered cool for the plants but humidity is super high too. I had another seedling that had like crumpled leaves too. Not exactly the same look as yours but looked similar. It does not look stressed. Almost looks like too much water in it. I felt the same way when I watered. A few hundred mls won't matter. But do remember that we had soaked the soil prior to the few hundred mls.

Each plant IS different though. For example, I planted 6 plants with 2 each of a strain. So each of the 3 strains x 2 plants. Each of them pair are different. My overwatering only affected 1 plant seriously and 1 plant slightly.

So if I did not experience problems with the 2 plants the way I did, I would have thought that my method was alright. I guess thats why we are expected to get better with each grow.

:smoking: what are the T and RH% in there? leaf distortion is pretty common in seedlings, uneven growth,... but lights, T and RH% can affect leaf shaping as well! Seedling want less intense light, so keep them there for now,....

Thank you for chiming in. Temp is 24C and 40%

RH% could be higher, better for seedling stage, but it's not at a critical low,...
Planning on doing a pic update later tonight when I get home. I’ve got the humidity in the mid 40’s now. Planning on starting their feeding schedule tonight. Following TaNGs schedule
