New Grower Seedlings stop growing every time...

Cannabis Seeds
Hey guys, just wanted to add my :2cents:....

I also am a newby grower with unbeleivablly good luck obviously after reading this thread and seeing how the seedling stage is giving you fits... and McLovin... 12 seeds before your 1st popped! I must be blessed... I have only attempted 2 germs and 1st planr got to Day 21 before I killed it, and the 2nd is currently on Day 14 in a recirculating DWC grow. Only using Ph'd spring water from Wally World.. .88 a gallon. Put her directly into a peat pellet after seed cracked, I set the pellet into my hydroton filled net pot & covered with plactic wrapped. She stood up with-in 2 days... I hand water for the first 9 days until the roots broke thru into the rezz, 7 not on day 14, she is taking off. I have only used GH FloraGrow this last rezz change on Sat 2nd when I noticed the roots broke thru.... other than that my cab humidity stays pretty low.. between 23 - 32.. right now currently 46 because it rained lastnight. Thats the only major difference I see in our seedling stages.. your humidity is waayy up? IDK if that matters or not...

:peace:

I'm not going to switch over to coco. I like hydro. The seedling compartment is just that, a breeding chamber. They only stay there until I transfer them to one of the other 2 compartments in the cabinet, where they will stay for the duration of their life. So they shouldn't be in the seedling compartment more than 2 weeks in to their life cycle. I'll watch to see how the roots grow and then set the water level to the appropriate depth so when they are getting to around 4th node they'll start dipping into the mild nute solution, if need be. I may just be best off running pH'd spring water with the fogger on to keep root zone moist and transferring them from the seedling compartment to their final home before the roots get too long and I'll just hand water up till that point.

A little confusing but I think I have it figured out.

Was just checking out your grow, TXBudz, looking good! I'm gonna read more later.

OK, the one seedling just did a nose dive... Went from being nearly upright to bending over quite a bit... The other seedling is still looking the same. This just happened within the past hour.

Thanks for the link Kindred, but now I'm not so sure that is it... Going to read it anyway, good info there.
I think it may be heliotropism in play as it seems to have bent directly towards the lamp and now it's looking like it's stood back up a little bit. Weird, but it looks perfectly healthy. I'm just gonna keep an eye on it, as I'm not too concerned with it surviving or not more interested in learning from this seedling.

*It's back to being pretty much upright now... Weird.

Good news, I'm seeing a lot of new roots starting to poke out of the rapid rooter plugs and a slight change with the aerial parts of the plant as well. I know that once the root growth takes hold the top will explode with growth as well.
I've been using a 1/2 & 1/2 mixture of GH FloraNova Grow with a Fish & Seaweed fert to 300ppm and 1/8ml Superthrive all mixed in 16oz spring water and pH'd to 5.8. I'm going to include some Great White mychoriz on the next feeding, should help with the uptake of the organic fish and seaweed fert.
