Problem: I've had several successful grows since my 1st one last year thats in my sig. I recently received new beans but I've had 0 luck with them using the exact same methods I've used before successfully. My seeds all germ correctly and sprout a day after putting them in soil. Once they've reached day 5 they just stop growing. Eventually the green stems started to turn dark from the bottom up on a few of them. This has happened 3 times back to back with all of the seedlings regardless of strain. I just pulled the 1st 3 because it had been 2 weeks with no change. Seeds aren't exactly cheap, so for this to happen with 3 separate groups of 3 seeds is pretty frustrating.

Medium/grow method:
I'm experiencing this problem using the same 2 soils I've used successfully before. Both Vigoro Organics and Fox Farms OF with lots of perlite

Feed: and supplements used:
I haven't even made it to the feeding stage with these seedlings

water source:
Tap at proper ph

Strain/age: Alien x triangle, White train, White crack, and Skystomper

light used:
60 watt eq cfl bulbs around 5 inches above seedlings.

Climate:Temps are always between 75-81 or so and humidity around 45-55.

Additional info:3 groups of 3 seeds all stop growing after a few days. The 1st group was in the same Vigoro organics soil I've used many times. The 2nd and 3rd set of 3 were in ffof. @Vlad The Inhaler @witchyhour @Yeatster @Gatorbackbob @SouthCarolinaYardDog

So here's seedlings 8 & 9 of this ongoing disaster. They are both on day 19! I got tired of looking at [HASHTAG]#7[/HASHTAG] so it was executed. I only lightly water them with a mist bottle once a week or so when needed. I was told that maybe I was under watering, but I've watered no differently than my previous grows and have never had this problem. I'm growing in the same tents under the same conditions as other grows so I'm lost. I watered the 1st group more....no change. Watered the 2nd group less....no change. I've tried adding more perlite this time around....no change. I was even told to add a little nutes to the water with these last 3 and still no change. I now have 2 more alien x triangle and 1 skystomper ready to go into dirt but I'm scared to death I'm just gonna be wasting
these seeds as well. You can't tell by the pics but I usually just pop my seeds into their final pot to grow, but I even tried using tiny pots but still the same problem. The last pic is just my buddy Oscar. But trust me...he's no grouch.

What are the ingredients in the vigoroA lot of growers have stopped using fof soil because the quality has not been as good as it used to be and some have had problems with it being too hot for seedlings. The dark stem is normal and nothing to worry about.Just make sure your watering enough so soil is moist four or five inches around plant and deep enough so roots don't hit dry soil.

Well @namvet25 I'd have to find that info thats around here somewhere, but I've always used vigoro before I splurged on ffof with no problems. I have a girl on day 50+ right now that was started the same way in vigoro. No problems.

Yes I have to or the humidity drops to 20 or so. The weird thing is its the same conditions as all my successful grows. I have a Hbs on day 59 now that I started jan 4th thats done just fine in the same soil (Vigoro).
I had this exact thing just happen. I bought a new filter for humidifier before using it. I couldn't figure out why every seedling I started would quit growing. I went to the infirmary thought it was a bad batch of medium. After yanking 4 and stunting many, I pinpointed it to the humidifier. I am now without humidifier. Although RH is far from ideal, as low as 16% at times, all are growing fine.
