Installing a new 3.5 light rail in a new 2x4 tent which actually measures 28.75 inches by 53 inches ..... also getting the stabilizer bar so I can turn my light 90 degrees ..... also looking to upgrade wheels so runs smoother and less noise ..... about $250 all in .... nice thing is there are two bars in the kit so if you only use one bar you can order just the motor assembly for $140 and get second rail going at 3.3 foot a rail which more than covers a 4x4 tent .....
My light is 22.5 inches long by 16.5 inches wide ..... in current 2x4 tent it sits with the 22.5 long parallel to the length and 16.5 inch front to back as logic would have it ......
but when I get my new slightly bigger tent and new rail I’ll mount light perpendicular to the length allowing more coverage front to back and the rail will run the length giving plants a much more even light, no hot spots and eliminate shadows plus keep tent more even temp .... the benefits are huge and negatives are minor and easily overcome ....
