NSR #1 Brown Spots 003.jpgNSR #1 Brown Spots 006.jpgStill having this problem. Flushed last week ph'd 6.0. Foliar fed MagiCal. Watering ph 6.0-6.2(IN) 6.3-6.5(OUT). It was only on the older leaves. Now it's freckled all over. Shortie is very lush. Just these damn spots. Help.

Looks like calcium deficiency but it would be good to know a little more about your grow to be for sure. What medium are you growing in? Below is a chart that goauto posted for me, it helps me determine how close I am to lockout.

The Short Rider is growing in 2 gallon SmartPots with Happy Frog and perlite (75% Happy Frog-20%-Perlite-5% Dolomite Lime). Nutrients are Technaflora Recipe for Sucess @ 3/4 strength. I FEED, WATER, WATER. Let the soil dry out a bit. Of the two Short Riders that I'm growing. This Shortie (#1) has always had issues with the leaves from the start. Her sister has been a perfect grow (so far). I've added MagiCal as foliar spray, but it just dosen't get better. Now all the leaves are freckled. She's also @ 8" from a 300w Feliz Dual Spectrum cfl.Looking at the chart above. Would I be better to bring the ph'd water to 6.5-6.8? Don't want to stress her. By the way she's on week #6 from seed. One week in Flower cycle. Keeping lights 18/6.

Well, you are looking for around 6.3-6.8 soil ph. It looks like, by what you are telling me that you flushed with 6.0 last week and watered again with 6.0-6.2 with runoff @ 6.3-6.5 that your soil is ~ 6.7-6.8 which is still just on the high side of soil ph. With you flushing and watering the past week with low ph I also assume that your soil was probably much higher when you started, probably >7.0 but only guessing. Knowing that I would say you are looking at Manganese deficiency from lockout. http://www.growweedeasy.com/manganese-deficiency-cannabis

It looks like you have it down to a close to acceptable range. On the next feed or watering I may would try to hit it again around 6.0, considering your soil is presently ~6.8 and that should get you right about 6.4 which should help with uptake. If you can find a chelated manganese you can try it as a foliar spray.

Thanks a420er! I going to do just that. I need to water Shorty #1 tomorrow. I'll just keep the ph'd water at 6.0 and let her ride it out. Shorty is pretty lush except for the freckled leaves. I've foliar fed her a number of times without any sucess. She just hasn't got better. I still have a good supply of Happy Frog soil. I'm not too "Happy" with the results; at least with Shorty #1. Her sister is in the same soli and is picture perfect. Odd? As my nephew said not all family members look the same. You've been a big help.:D

Don't just keep it at 6.0, take a runoff reading and continually adjust. My guess is, after this watering your soil ph should be back up to 6.5 range. If it hits that, then on your next watering set your water ph at 6.5. The ph in your pot is going to be dynamic, as in, it is going to fluctuate up/down throughout your grow. It is your job to keep an eye on the runoff, try to calculate the soil ph and try to adjust with the water going in.

As my nephew said not all family members look the same.
That is true, there can be a lot of different phenotypes.

You've been a big help.:D
Thanks, I had a lot of help when I first started.

:hug:You're correct. This watering is 6.0. See how the runoff is and adjust accordingly. :peace:

Too much water for a container grow.
Studying those pics shows me that they are a bit too light green for an indoor & container grow.

Also, if it were me, I would stop giving it fertilizer of any kind.

Let her dry out for at least 2 inches from the top of the soil.

How warm is that light of yours at 8 inches? Wash your hands with cold water and lightly dry them and then put the back of your hand under the light and pull your hand down until you hardly feel any warmth at all---that's where your light should be.

Other than that, she looks pretty!
Damn pretty!

Thanks for the advise. I did the cold water-moist hand test. She's cool. I can get my hand right next to the light and it's slightly warm. This Shorty, as mentioned before, has been a bit of a problem from the start. She popped out 1st and had trouble adjusting to the Happy Frog. Then when she was two weeks old. I accidently droped the fan on top of her. Took off the top right off her. She looks totally diffrent from her sister. I fed her last week and watered her yesterday; gonna let her dry out good. I only water them when they are dry. About every 3-4 days. Now that they both are in Flower. They drink up 3 liters in 3 days or less. Have a good moisture meter that my father had for his Apple Orchard. I only water them when the meter is in the dry zone. :peace:
