New Grower showing sex or flowering?

Hey guys I'm just alittle confused right now, I'm seeing people say in smoke reports say that they got their plant to autoflower in 14-18days! Is that even possible? Normally my plants are just starting to show sex around then some sooner but I've never had preflowers in my first 2-3 weeks normally around late week 3 to week to day 30 or so. So my question is are these people really getting their plants to auto in under 20days or are they talking about seeing signs of sex

My auto candy kush had pistols (showing sex) at day13! Showing sex and autoflowering is pretty much the same thing. It's switching from veg to flower.

Id have to disagree gman sex and autoflower have nothing to do with each other they are auto because they will flower no matter the light cycle so showing sex has nothing to do with plants being auto. This why I'm confused because the question in report is did it autoflower? And if some one says yes day 16 how is that possible? Not trying to offend bro you know you one of my besties on here but I feel people are answering that question wrong

Auto Flower cannabis dose pre-flower not for as long as photos of course, but THey are considered to be pre flowering till all vertical growth stopes at wich point there's enough hormones in it to go into full flower, which is why we wait to switch to flower nutes, by doing so your getting all the vegataitive growth you can..... I see posts offen about people have female autos but they won't flower, so people say turn it to turn it to 12/12 which means the plant didn't autoflower which is where I believe the name auto comes from, so by the logic your giving how can someone know they have a female if it hasn't started flowering yet? Preflower and showing sex can't be the same

your not getting what im saying komach bro all good tho ill explain you forgot the "by that logic" at the beginning of that sentance, i said that because of the above quote. that's when i went into the 12/12 stories backing up my claims that auto and showing sex are not the same.

Hmmm... This is good, challenges my preconceived notions.
I equate pre-flower with showing sex. It pre-flowers and that pre-flower is either male or female. That is when we decide what to do with it; keep or chop, keep for pollen etc. So that is not what is so?

I have a photo, did not show sex or pre flower until I started on 12/12. I mistook more leaf buds for nads. Now that she has been 12/12 long enough she is showing classic female pre flowers.

Am I missing the point??
