Ok..

So what's it mean when a 2 day old seedling has both of its true leaves (not cotyledon) flopping over like a McDonalds sign :( colours still green just flopped.

The weird thing is it started off with just 1 and now both :(

There was a tiny fly in there which i've managed to exterminate - could that of been a possibility? sucking all the life out of the first leaves?

I'm more concerned that the fly was the issue and now i'm just panicking

Just wondered rather than a full diagnosis what things can make the leaves look healthy but droopy?

Much appreciated

Can you post a picture? At two days old there should barely be a true leaf showing so just give it some time and i'm sure it will be fine.

sorry mate 2-3 days from sprouting

the true leaves are about 2-3cm

no cam atm sorry dude :( just looks normal just flopped down like droopy

stems straight then the leafes just like
(|)
.|.

i think its just over watering from where the pellet has now hit the pot soil where it may be a lot moister

I'll keep an update - no idea if flies have this affect ?

I take it but no reply probably means I'm right?

How long normally should over watered plants take to recover?

Oh boy :( new growth yellowing and leaves are really curling inwards now right down to the stem

Think this baby gonna die. i think its because he thought was being a smart ass by mixing perlite 50% with an ericaceous(acid loving plants soil)

What a twat - and the funny thing is the pH meter says 7.1 so thats definitely broken

Gah!

The perlite was a good idea, do you have a grow shop near you or are limited to garden centres?

Maybe next time if you have a grow shop get something like biobizz light mix, or plagron light mix. Or if you are going to garden centers, grab some John innes seedling starter mix and throw a heap of perlite in there.

Pictures in a thread generally attract more help, just becuase it's easier to see whats going on in a picture and a description of what you've been doing.

Treat this one as a trial run and the next one is the "serious" one ^_^
