I think they may be be a combination of being underfed and a bit too much cal/mag. If you take that 550 ppm and subtract the cal/mag, you're only giving them 400 ppm, which seems low for plants that age and size, especially photos which can take a lot more nutes than autos. What ppm does your nute mfg. suggest for their age?
I recently had some problems with excess cal/mag in my RDWC system and learned that too much cal/mag can cause a lockout of phosphorus, which could account for the damage along the leaf tips and edges as well as the poor new growth. I was still associating my cal/mag levels to what I use in autos and not considering that photos, and hydro, might need less. I'd suggest cutting it back to 75 ppm. Watch for any signs of cal/mag deficiency, small rust colored spots and light green color between the leaf veins.
