Skinny leaves?

Thanks guys for all your input, iam doing a bucket change tonight and will add in 1/8th teaspoon of epsom salt to the buckets, Also i ordered a more powerful air pump. I noticed last night there is a TON of roots and it seems like the Gen hydro dual diaghpram pump might be slight under powered. So i ordered a 18 watt commerical pump that is 720GPH. This Gen Hydro is 320GPH.

I'm seeing a little of what looks like a P or K deficiency starting on a few of the leaf edges. Are they still on veg nutes?

Yea they are still on veg nutes, i will keep them on veg nutes for atleast another 3 weeks, i want to veg them to monsters, before transplanting into 20 gallon containers

I'd suggest keeping an eye on them and watch your ppm. That was a pretty big drop from 550 to 480. You may need to up the strength a bit more or introduce some bloom nutes in combination with the veg nutes if the leaves continue to show signs of deficiency.

what is your take on the new skinny leaves muddy? in one pic you can see where it looks like the tips have died off

Not sure on that one. Are you giving them any cal/mag supplement?

Yea i am, on the last bucket change i put it to around 150ppm of cal mag before adding in the two part veg

That might be a bit too much. What's your water source and ppm of your base water?

When i test the PPM of the Clean RO water meter reads 0

Also i have well water

I think they may be be a combination of being underfed and a bit too much cal/mag. If you take that 550 ppm and subtract the cal/mag, you're only giving them 400 ppm, which seems low for plants that age and size, especially photos which can take a lot more nutes than autos. What ppm does your nute mfg. suggest for their age?

I recently had some problems with excess cal/mag in my RDWC system and learned that too much cal/mag can cause a lockout of phosphorus, which could account for the damage along the leaf tips and edges as well as the poor new growth. I was still associating my cal/mag levels to what I use in autos and not considering that photos, and hydro, might need less. I'd suggest cutting it back to 75 ppm. Watch for any signs of cal/mag deficiency, small rust colored spots and light green color between the leaf veins.
