Im using PH perfect nutes. Even though they say PH Perfect ph has little to do with it. They chelate everything in the nutes so much thats if the ph is any where from 4 ish to 8 they will work and allow your plant to take up all needed nutrients I have used these nutes for three years (only growing off and on) and the main problem I run into is finding the right levels and trying to identify what I m lacking so I can up the nutes to the right level with out over doing another nute (Usually Nitrogen or Potassium) I have never had the "right" ph in any grow medium I have used but the nutes stay true to what they say. Many other people grow with them and have the same sorta results regardless of there ph. The only reason I have ever had to worry was when lime threw my ph past 8 and it totally screwed everything with the nutes. I have actually been watering with closer to 50% drain but cal mag + has lime in it and once i was informed it had already jacked my ph and regardless of flushing just likes to chill at 7.1 it was at 7.4 so I cant bitch to much it did move 0.3 lol Only reason I have been trying to keep the ph in range was so I could use Non Advanced Nutrients products if I needed to as allot of the time the AN products have an unwanted nutrient added with the nutrient I am trying to fix the deff in.Your Ph levels are totaly Fucked up. Ph for Coco should be 5,5-5,8 in Veg and 6,2 in flower. So there you got your problem. If you putin 5,8 and 7,1 is coming out thats a Huge Diffrence. Give them a Propper flush till the ph is regulated to 6,2 at the runoff. I guess you aint watered with a 20%drain out of the pot every time???

Oy! thanks Medic', I just plain spaced getting to the pH issue!,...jumping from thread to thread to much-
...Clix, I gather, you're doing run-off testing? ...wishing you had an Accurate * soil pH probe, for direct measurement,... I dislike the run-off method, as it seems to have lot's of potential sources of measurement error in it,...Also, how's the calibration on your meter?.... that said, have a look at this link to a good, methodology, and see if it jives with what you do-
-- I am not very coco savvy myself, being an OD soil guy, but I can say that P does get a little twitchy at mildly alkaline pH....Medic' I'm wondering, why the coco is holding resistance so strongly against adjusting down,... Clix, are you using RO/DI water, or a blend with tap? ..trying to get a handle on the carbonate inputs, as this part of the minerals is responsible for the buffering action,...
