I'm going to be using a 80 litre bin as my res. I'll have a pump to send the nutrients to each pot. Should I have a small pump circulating the nutrients in the res constantly with an air stone too? So its mixing my nutrients all the time

You'll want the water to be both moving and oxygenated for the best results.. Moving water prevents some forms of algae and funk while the oxygenation helps feed microbes and introduce O2 into the root zone.. Sure, it can work without them, but you'd have to change your nute solution more often and increase your chances for things like root rot or bud mold..
