New Grower So confused

Hi,

I'm am new to growing I have grown about 3 plants, they were seeds from herbie's 2 being feminized seeds, all my plants that I got to the flowering stage turned out to be males I have one now that I think might be a hermie plant but not sure yet. I wanted to know if there is something that I could be doing to turn the sex of my of my plants? I did have a lot of stress problems in early veg due to not enough nitrogen in my feed. I have three seeds I got from a friend and I want to know what to do these are not feminized so I will just have to wait to see the sex but what are the odds that I would buy 6 seeds and the ones I get to flower stage all be males?

Might ask herbies(nicely) about the ratio of males in fem seeds. Just don't mention growing them.
I don't think you can turn a plant totally male by stressing the plant. If they were good genetics I would harvest the pollen for later use.

Apperently they got male seeds mixed in with the fems.I would tell them what happened and hopefully they will send you some replacments.Male to female ratio is about 50/50 but with a small amount of seeds males by chance or bad luck could outnumber the females.

It is a little known fact but male plants brought to full maturity will get you just as stoned as female buds. I know from experience. Most people don't know this because they rip out their males as soon as they reveal their masculinity.

The one plant you are unsure of is probably female. Females reveal their femininity about 1 -3 weeks after the males have revealed themselves.

The general consensus about what determines the sex of marijuana plants is the same for human beings: It is genetic; therefore you cannot "turn" a plant male or female anymore than you can turn a straight person gay or a gay person straight.

If I were you, I'd let the males fully mature and then dry them out and smoke them and give us a report.

Weaker strains of old school cannabis sativa from like 40 years ago and before did indeed produce males whose potency wasn't as strong as the females...but that's not the case these days. Peeps have been perfecting the increase of potency since the late 70s and early 80s. Over 90% of the cultivated marijuana in circulation these days is strong & kick-ass and thus male plants allowed to reach full maturity will definitely get you stoned.

Let the males pollinate your female and make some seeds so you don't have to pay Herbies or any one else any more money. They are all highway robbers with no compassion. They are as despicable as the pharmaceutical companies. Word.

Yeah I already tossed the male plant out!!!
I have new seeds I got from a buddy so I will try those, you know what? I have only grow one auto to find out it was a male. I really want to get some auto seeds but I dont think I trust Herbies anymore. Anybody know who sends to the us.

Pyramid seeds aswel have some good autos the white widow I've found is extremely stable strain and very fast growing

Herbies had nothing to do with making the seeds... they buy from breeders and re-sell, as do most all the seed banks. If there is an issue with the fem seeds, it points to the breeder, not Herbies. I have dealt with Herbies before and found them to have the fastest delivery to US addresses and, when I needed customer service, the situation was addressed immediately and resolved to my satisfaction. I don't buy seeds anymore or sell seeds, so I don't have a dog in this hunt... just a satisfied customer.
