Hello everyone!

I'm about to embark on my second grow and have had my eye on one of these GN LED lights for a while. I have a small tent (60x60x150cm) and previously used a 250W HPS light successfully during my first grow. Since this GN light claims to be equivalent, it seems a no brainer due to the cheaper running costs and, from what I've seen, hugely successful results by some.

However it is very expensive and I want to be sure I'm doing the right thing before I take the plunge.

So first up, would one of these lights be sufficient for my grow space?
Can I use it as it comes straight out the box, or are there other accessories I need to buy on top?
Does it require ballast or does it plug straight into the wall?
Anything else I should be aware of?

Thank you so much for any advice! ☺

Hay bro, a HS1 with the 60x60° would be perfect fo that size room, if you dial the grows in and use all the space you can expect to get 150-200g maybe more, how does that compare to what you get off the 250w out of interest?
No ballast bro everything is internal and it works right out of the box.

Cheers mate!

I made rookie mistakes on my first grow so the yield wasn't as big as it could have been. I got about 90g from an auto ultimate. It smoked good though!

Bit wiser this time round so i expect nothing short of a beast! Haha!

60x60 was what i thought too. Thanks for advice. Feel much better about spending out on it.

Bro a 90g plant on your first go is brilliant,I didn't get half that, give me a shout on the next grow or do it in this section and I can tag along and give advice if I can.

Thanks very much TaNg. The biggest mistake I made was during the cure. I didn't burp my jars often enough and nearly half of it went mouldy! Wasn't too pleasant, but still did the job. I recently went to Amsterdam for a long weekend and sampled all manner of fine green. When I got home I expected the last of my home grown to not have much effect. How wrong was I! lol It still did the job! :D Testament to the quality of dutch passion.

I have this very moment just purchased a Grow Northern HS1 light. Can't wait to set it all up! :D I'm going to use the remaining auto ultimate seeds. They've been in my fridge all year sealed in their original packaging, so they should be ok. Let's see if they germinate!

The light has arrived! :D

Just waiting on some other supplies before I can begin my second grow. I will be growing a DP Auto Ultimate under this baby. Can't wait!

I'm amazed how small and compact the unit is. Compared to the 250W HPS light I was using, this will free up so much more vertical space. I want to let the plant adopt it's natural shape, much like you do tang, and avoid doing any LST or super cropping.
