Help!

My plants look i'll. They are 3 weeks old & have always had bent/curling leaves etc but now I have noticed the tips of the bottom leaves have started to yellow?

They don't seem to grow as quick as other peoples however, they are showing new growth & the leaves & stems gets bigger every day. They are under 2x 105w CFL's, 17 hours light & are watered every 3 or 4 days. On Sun 31st I added nutrients for the 1st time but in a really low dose less aprox 5th of recomened strengh.

We need some more information before we can help. What soil are you using, are you pHing your water and checking the run off, if so, what are the readings. Also, what brand of nutrients?

Thanks for getting back to me.

Q) What soil are you using?
A) Levington Multipurpose Compost (with added John Innes)

A) Waiting on Ph reader (ordered last week), using Evian bottled water (every 3 or 4 days) & don't water so it comes out the bottom (if there are a couple of drips I stop, the pot feels heavy compaied to the non-watered one).


Q) Also, what brand of nutrients?
A) A cheap one! (I know) Doff liquid growmore. I only used litrally a half full shot glas (at recomended strengh), then loads of water after that, the next day there was growth but the leaves have only yellowed in the last 24/48 hours.


Also, Humidity is low 20%-25% so put dish of water in with plants & it's raised to 30%.

I think the evian ph is 7 (neutral) I am waiting on a ph reader via amazon (i'ts in the post!) then I can test that & the soil etc.

I am growing 'advanced biodiesel mass auto feminised' from herbies.

Some geezer on another forum has pointed out my plants are small compaired to his (yeah great, tell me something I don't know! - deflated ego & all!) but some other said they are ok & due to low humidity & using CFL's they will take a while to pickk up (what do you think?)

I have updated by other threat & have ordered more CFL's & some other bits etc to upgrade my amazing growing facility!

Hope your ones are doing well in the tent with the new lights? i'll have a look see!....

Doesn't seem to far off but could cause some issues i guess?? i donno i'm still to noob to say lol

I wouldnt worry to much about there size, all plants are different and grow at different rates, Go check out my afghan kush and you will see exactly what i mean!
As for humidity and cfl mines been around 20-30% my entire grow so i doubt thats slowing you down too much and i run cfls beyond the point your at now with no issues :thumbs:
Your plants should actually pick up very quickly from the stage your at now they have some decent leaves to soak up light, this is what i found with mine anyway.
Still adding more lights wont hurt if you can keep the temps in check! more lights = more bud!!

Haha yeah there coming along quite nicely thanks dude, still sit here in the same frame of mind as you though! Thinking why are mine not as good as others ect but its all a learning curve!!

hey Jonny ya evian ph is 7.18 if you don't have any ph down you can use lemon juice and while waiting for a ph pen get some ph testing strips from a pet shop that sells fish it will give you a better idea of ph in the then out and you can get some idea how much ya need to alter it
