Mephisto Genetics Spanglish is back with a Sour Crack, (and a micro White N Bubbly)

Hi guys n girls, after my summer hiatus i am back with another little grow and show, as my jars are nearly as good as empty after a month's vacation on the road and i was really getting the growing itch.

White N Bubbly is at Day 5 now and moving along nicely so far, took 2 beans to get there though as i handled the first after my Ecig had leaked nicotine Eliquid on my fingers, so washed hands and put a second in to germ which cracked in 24 hours, the other bean i handled never cracked after 4 days.

The bigger pot was supposed to be my last Triangle Kush bean but that never cracked after 4 days, so put in a Sour Crack and again after 4 days nothing, put in my last Sour Crack bean and it cracked in 24hrs and has now been in soil for almost 24 more, and looks to be on track to break soil by tomorrow evening.

The bigger pot beans were all from my first Mephisto order and must be nearly 3 years old now, stored in a dry, dark but at room temp (which is pretty high in summer), so am sure the failures are down to old beans stored in less than optimal conditions, and was actually a pleasant surprise when the last Sour Crack opened.

Cheers Archie, here is hoping i manage to deliver again. Break was lovely but feels even better to have beans in the soil again.

Looking forward to having a go at Sour Crack again, was the first Mephisto strain i grew and i would like to think i have learned a little bit more since then, so will have to see how she comes out.

Sour Crack poked out her head yesterday, so giving her a bit of time to open up fully will count Day 1 from today for this funky coloured little seedling. Will just be tiny 50ml-100ml plain water feeds every 2-3 days as needed for the first week, fed slowly in a 2-3cm radius around the seedling with occasional misting through the day, dabbing up any excess water droplets with paper towel before returning her under the light.

White N Bubbly is ticking along nicely just starting to push out her third leaf set, as she comes into the end of Week 1. Till now feeds have been plain water as above with Sour Crack, she will get one more plain water feed and then will be introducing weak Bio Bizz Grow and CalMg feeds that will be bumped up through Weeks 2-3 to full veg feeds.

They are both moving along nicely and look like your standard healthy seedlings, growing nicely day by day. White N Bubbly is just about ready to start speeding up on the growth front and will be adding a mild feed of Bio Bizz Grow, AlgaMic and Green Plant CalMg next time round, and every feed after increasing strength through the next couple of weeks.

This is a surprise baby that most likely has no chance in hell of making it, the seeds that did not germ i could not just throw away so stuck them in the pots out on my terrace, the Sour Crack bean popped up the other day so looks like the beans may have not been stored a correct temps for long term keeping, but were still viable if not be it a bit stubborn. She will get left over nutes, sharing a pot with my cactus and temps and sunlight dropping soon for sure, will be a real test of strength if she will even make it (getting deja vu of my first Sour Crack grow).
