Lighting Spectrum Questions

I recently read a post on here where someone was growing some autos under an LED Panel and supposedly this person used his LED light on both spectrums (Veg/Bloom Switches both on) from the beginning all the way to the end thru the grow.......

I made this thread bc I got to thinkin ab this and ive wondered ab it before so i figured id ask my fellow AFN growers.......

Has anyone else done this or seen it done w success and ifso what is so diff ab growing w this technique........
Every bit of information helps........please only speak on matters youve handled personally and not what someone else has posted on some other site or a story where uve heard of this......
I need facts to be blunt
Im def gonna try this method asap just figured id check and see if its a rare occurance or if ppl do this regularly........

I have only done it this way. @Fairlynew talked about this I do believe along with many other expert growers on here. I don't have a reason or education as to why or if its necessary. Only thing I know is, I do it and I'm happy with the results.

My led doesn't have veg or bloom switches ' only full spectrum all way through. Same with all older models

I have 2 Marshydro 600w, the old model with 3w diodes, and they both run 24/0 with both spectrum's on and can't complain about growth. Haven't tried yet with just the veg spectrum on.

All my other LED's has no veg/bloom switch(es), so full spectrum all the way there too!

Yo, interesting topic dude! heres my input from experience,, my old 3g had two switches, when I was growing autos, I used both spectrums from start to finish, good results, no problems, when I grew photoperiods, (purple haze, mango haze) I used the veg light for veggin em, got good growth etc.. then switched to just the reds for flowering, yeah they flowered, but I did notice a few things, the mango hazes seem to slow down in flowering and my purple haze sped up! weird. it finished so fast it almost hermied, produced nanas and a few seeds. saved it tho. Used the same light with all spectrums on with another photo period grow and it went as normal, vegged ok, switched to 12/12, all flowered and finished as normal within 10 weeks.
In my opinion I think plants do still need the blue spectrums to flower, maybe just reds is too much? causes them to freak out? dunno. would like to see what others think of this aswell. as since then I havnt bothered using bloom or veg mode, just banged em both on.
heres a pic of that led in bloom mode, not a very good mix if reds tho looking at it again & the IR's are in a straight line to the right of the led itself,.. maybe a better spec/configuration of reds would perform better?
Ive attached a pic of the 3g in bloom only mode and also a couple of pics of the haze, got 63g dry from her, not a bad a result as I had her sharing the led with a few others.

I do know that flowering is "supposed" to use both switches unless u have more than one panel and one is all bloom and thenother is both
So just as u said
A lil blue is almost a requirement from what i understand

I didnt know if it would screw things up but i never thought ab ur point of all the older leds not having awitches and thats how it all used to be anyhow is both specs from start to finish
Makes total sense itd be ok to do now that i think ab it.....
Imma just go ahead and stick all mine under same panel and see how they do
