I have this 'mold' on the surface of my soil (
OF,molasses, dolomite lime). Plant is 24 days old from sprout and looking great! I think this is good and showing good activity in the soil. I have fed once 1/4 strength
nutes and cal mag. I water when pot (smart pot) is light and top 1-2 inches is dry. Could someone please chime in and let me know for sure that this is good and I have nothing to worry about? I don't want to add h2o2 and kill my beneficials.
Cat'-- it's fungal hyphae alright, but I can't tell if it's the bad or good kind! How much molasses and how often did you put in there? The sugars can really ramp up the soil herd, but not all herd is friendly, so mind the dosage and frequency,.. you don't want to invite botrytis, mildew etc. to this party! ... 1 tsp/qt is good, a couple times a week,... it also has some Ca, Mg, k and a little Fe too,...
