Hi - new grower here, using a 3ft stealth cabinet ( http://unique-hydroponics.com/product/kush-cabinet-led-version-grow-box/ ) and growing my first lowryder, which seems to be going well.

Entering flower, and my wife is not happy with the smell. Does any one have recommendations on how to add a carbon filter and maintain stealth? Or, any other recommendations for odor control?

Excited to find this site, I am sure I should have studied more before buying the cabinet, but would like to work on it, as I am generally happy with the adventure so far.

Seeds from ILGM, using general hydroponics nutrient in the base cabinet setup as of now.

You can definitely use a carbon filter with fan and exhaust out a window or into an attic.

Ona gels around the house are also another possibility, just don't keep one too close to the plant otherwise it can end up taking that smell and taste.

Go with a pencil style filter I linked below. Easy to make and you can get the parts online. I used a computer fan. You need a computer fan that will work with a heatsink on a CPU. These have enough "pull" to get through the carbon.

Edit: Alternatively you can get a Can-Lite 705 or 1500 filter. These are designed for computer fans and micro grows.

Hi, I’ve got a similar size deal and have a 4” hurricane fan and 4”x 6” can filter , works awesome, but super bulky for a micro grow, have to mount outside box..I just ordered these

There are several HEPA air purifier that are carbon filtered also..couple small plants, might work..Ill find out in about a month lol

Also, Ive bought 3 medium aquarium filters with the activated carbon inside and combined into one and basically gorilla taped on my fan, worked well for a Northern Lights

I am using a large computer fan now or may switch to a 4” inline duct fan with the above filter set up for the test...got to make sure all airflow comes in contact with the carbon

If you put a full sized filter in there you will ruin the space you are already lacking. Have you looked at the Can Plastic 705 or 1500. They are made for that box. Easy to attach to a small fan. I have used both the 705 a nd 1500 and the DIY filter linked above works just as well. The pencil holder DIY is the best. I have tried multiple designs and you cannot get better airflow. DO NOT get the carbon sheets from above. They did not do much once flower came around.

-HTH

The only thing that worked in my micro cabinet was a strong exhaust fan and carbon filter mounted externally. I tried going the diy route a few different times and it never worked. I was in an apartment and even a small plant stunk up my entire place.
