Well i've just met the neighbour, and, to be kind, i can't see him making it to the top of the house, he is VERY large and huffs and puffs.
So no need to buy a lock, phew !
Tomorrow morning i will fill the autotopup bucket with a fresh res, i'll pH it down to 5.5 maybe 5.2, as the pH does seem to rise, but very slowly.
So excited about that first root hitting the water

Roots have grown and some have started peeking out of the side of the pot.
Growth is a bit slow since she is only under a couple of weak CFLs, but my LED should be back to me Monday or Tuesday next week.

I let my ph drift as high as 6.4 I don't believe constantly messing with the ph is a good thing. IMO keep it in a range of 5.7-6.4 and you'll have no problems in hydro. With that said no comes the fun part, sitting back and watching her grow!

No....that's what he IMPLIED, not what he said
He said the man was VERY large and huffs and puffs....Looks GREAT Steely, a whole week unattended...seems to me you've got something dialed in properly. I've seen these go to hell in a hand bucket rapidly...so that's a fine indicator.
