Can anyone give me some reasons why they stick to auto instead of photos please. Kind of want to give photos a try but not sure if worth it

Cheers

Of course give the photos a run . You can veg them whilst finishing up some autos and flip to 12/12 when their finished.

What are the benefits, just potency?

Lots of people here are going to Beg to Differ about the "lack" of potency of autos. Autos carry thier own weight when it comes to THC ...just gotta look for the range you are wanting...Mephisto strains comes to mind when it comes to high THC content....time to break out Google search..

I'm not even sure one could say potency anymore....It's pretty common to have strains with 20%+ THC.....I think the advantage falls to the outdoor grower with photo-plants. The advantages I see are a longer growth period thus higher yield. There are more strains of photo period plants available compared to autos as well. I have heard some people argue that autos require more $$$ indoors as far as the electric bill due to the light cycle. Being as photo-period plants run longer, I am not sure how viable that argument is. I have also heard claims that photo-period strains are more stable genetics generally.....again I can't speak to that but have had good success with autos myself. I personally plan on sticking with autos for all of my indoor play....I love the quick yield and definitely potent enough for me!

Because they're faster.
Little less quallity overall (potency, smell, aroma, genetics) and more sensitive... but anyway, I love autos.

I'm currently growing mephisto a v t, thanks for all the info, I have many photo spare seeds and just wondered about them. I think I will stick to auto too.
Thanks

Also what do you guys think of removing lower leaves etc. I have just left them to get on with it this time without lst. Kind of regret it now although they are big lol

If you have set up your indoor for auto, you'll want to look into more light. 50w per square foot is the starting point for flowering photos. Twice the light, half the time.

I have grown both together for years an let me tell you what it's a winning combination I put my photos in a light deprivation box an my lights hit my autos at 24 hrs .Using an old closet as a dep flowering box works bomb for the photos .I get great yields cuz I rotate plants in an out of that box 2. Rotations a day .
