i have been wondering this myself...i had some off time from growing for personal reasons and decided to do a run of photos when i started again and i seem to find that the photoperiods STINKKKKKK and tasted soooooo much better than the auto's ive grown out...i dont know if my growing method has improved or if photoperiods generally just develop a proper taste and smell to them...
i grew out a a bunch of autos...3 bears og, red poison, blue kush, orange crack, chemdogging and stilton special and none of these autos developed a good taste or smell to them...i mean is that just an autoflower trait or was it down to shit growing? the only thing that has changed is i am now using RO water so I am not flushing after 4-5 weeks and then trying to get the organic nutrients built up again...so maybe that made a massive difference i dont know...either way photoperiods just develop that sticky really pungent smelling bud that tastes like weed where as the autoflowers never got there...
i decided to germinate some more mephistos yesterday to give a go whilst my super soil cooks and i think depending how they turn out in 60 odd days will make me decide if the extra 3 weeks is worth it for photoperiods...but has anyone else had this problem or is it just autoflowers?
