HAPPY NEW YEAR AFN!! :tiphat:
TaNg's Thang
We harvested our last 180w 30L set up (Wendy) after 126 days, longer than ideal, I blame the weak LED and a few other factors we have learnt from on the length of the grow but we still managed to pull about 40grams yield off her.

So this is the new set up for 2015, few upgrades, tweaks and changes implemented from everything we tried in 2014.

DS90 Tent (90x90x170cm) with x2 speed controlled 5" clip fan.
RVK 5" speed controlled extraction fan with carbon scrubber.
(Upgrading to a Rhino Pro when things get a bit stinkier, as our current CF is 3 plants old nearly a year later).
180w VIPAR LED UFO for germination 60cm above airpot.
300w VIPAR LED Panel after germination and a little veg time has been established.
Then during flower we will have the UFO and Panel both above on opposite angles and spin the pot on a daily basis to ensure an even spread of the joint 480w LED spectrum. (From flowering till harvest).
We have de-rooted our coco to the best of our ability, pretreated a 30L airpot with a good flush and then charged 2 Litres of normal tap water with about 5ml Rhizo & 5ml Cannazym to make a nice rich environment for germination.

We placed our bean in a shot glass over night in a cool dark place, come morning she came out the bottom of the glass and about an inch into the coco.
The vast size of the pot took a lot longer for the last plant to root, due to it drying too fast, we were over watering and not really stressing the roots as much as we would have liked to. :help:
To combat this we have taken some feedback from our last grow and placed 1L plastic cup with the bottom cut off, to encourage the roots to grow down and not be overly affected by the large pot size whilst establishing itself.
We can then simply remove the shielding cup out from above, without affecting the roots, almost like a mini-transplant but without actually transplanting, as I have heard bad things about transplanting autoflowers, after the cup is gone the mini root ball will be able to expand and explore into the 29 litre coco abyss as it see's fit.
We will water with plain tap water for about 4-5 days, then start adding a little rhizo, calmag, canna A/B and cannazym.

The bean of choice is Royal Queen Seeds genetics, Bubble Kush Automatic.
Below is a little description from online.

"Bubble Kush Automatic incorporates the most desirable qualities of three excellent strains - Royal Queen Seeds crossed OG Kush with its long-lasting and intense high, Bubble Gum with its unique sweet flavor and aroma and the fast growing Royal Critical Automatic with its high yields. This is the perfect choice for impatient growers looking for an autoflowering strain with quick results and more than decent yields.
Bubble Kush Automatic reaches no more than 40-80cm in height, making her an ideal plant for growers with restricted space. Despite being a small plant it is possible to harvest in the range of 350-400g/m² after only 8-9 weeks after germination. Being a hybrid with a strong Indica (60%) and only very little Sativa (10%) influence (the remaining 30% are Ruderalis) Bubble Kush Automatic provides a sweet euphoric sensation and a very pleasant physical relaxation, but without making the user feel lethargic. This variety has a pleasantly sweet flavour with subtly earthy undertones that makes your mouth water and increases appetite. Consumed in higher quantities it qualifies as a good sleeping aid."

Pictures to follow, as always, any advice on this grow would be welcome.
:coffee2:
I hope you enjoy the ride and can contribute to the experience

Sounds well thought an Awesome!

Nice upgrades bro. Pulling up a chair for the show! "Munch..munch..munch

Thanks Roark!

And glad to see you JAYAR, your display picture makes my day...every day... :)

I am paranoid iv poisoned the bean with the precharge.
I'm going to be offline for about a week, so guess with the next update we will have some pictures and some news on the bean!

Planted in a precharged pot 03/01, watered with evaporated plain tap water, popped a few days later, 08/01 putting 0.5ml canna a/b and 0.5ml calmag now and then into a 1Litre solution.
She has had about 250ml in the plastic ring, and 750ml surround the plastic. To help keep the 30L of coco saturated without flooding the seedling.
Day 4
Getting 0.8 canna a/b and a dash of calmag.
Plain evaporated tap water
Going to add 1ml rhizo tomorrow and ph down to 5.6
Anyone go any advice about when to start phing the feed? Is it okay from day 5?

She is about 7cm tall, tiny bit of a yellow on tip of the leafs.
But I'm happy with the germination and start thus far.
Last run I was over cautious with the feed and the veg light, hoping to go beast mode this time round with the feed and the lights!

Advice as always is appreciated!
Play safe, StonedBRO :Gary:

Cute lil kush bro :Sharing One:i think u should start PHing now on.

Thanks JAYAR,
Yeah rhizo and ph from today onwards :)
Noticed alot of stretch with the led germination, think the 125w veg clf was either alot slower, or focused more on the root growth.
The Led has made the upwards growth unlike my two previous grow, I'm not complaining, just hope it doesn't try go to high inside of wide :)

Oh snap. Unforeseen circumstances.
Pulled, packed down and changing location.
You no how it is boys, better to be safe than sorry.
will update when I'm back in the game game, shame to waste such a good bean :(
Play safe,
StonedBRO

I just went through the same thing a few months ago. Wasted 2 very nice beans but I am back up and running and glad I did not risk it.
Good luck and good karma.
