That's like asking what beer to buy.

What are you looking for? Time, size, effect, smell?

Give us a chance to help you by narrowing down what your looking for.

Thanks!

Welcome to the site.

looking for something fast and hardy as summers are short and unpredictable,
ideally plants should be shorter no higher than 5ft and a lower odour would be better.
I work in a high stress demanding job so ideally wanting a strain that can just chill me completely out and another to just to really get me stoned. it is hard to get good stuff and consistency here so want to grow my own and know exactly what i am smoking sorry i have read alot online and noticed a lot of contradicting arguments for and against autos but they seem the best choice for my location

many thanks

In the same boat. Try MI5 by Short stuff or a northern Lights auto. Did good for me. Not as high as 59 but close. Or even auto Purple by pyramid in a small cabinet. Had a low ambient fruity odor.

So will you be growing outdoors? If so then you want to add some height to any description on a seed site. Outdoor plants generally get much bigger than indoor varities. As far as the contradicting arguments against autos I say the people who have a negative opinion most likely have not grown autos, or did not grow them well. I have been a photoperiod grower my whole growing life and after 1/2 of my first auto grow I can say that I will probably never go back to photos unless I am doing a specific breeding project. Now that 7 or 8 years have gone by since autoflowers have been available to the public they have now gotten up to par with the best photoperiod plants out there when it comes to potency, yeild and all of the other traits that we all desire. Any way I digress, I would suggest Dutch Passion genetics if this is your first attempt at growing because they have the strongest genes on the planet, making them great for new or novice growers. Well I hope this helped some and I am sending great grow Karma your way my friend

Try some of the dragons from RMCC. Mine stayed fairly short and produce an indica stone. Also the short stuff or the Ryder series of strains, for example LowRyder.

Welcome Crimsondvl, self sufficiency from the sun is the way to go for me too.I grow outdoors at lat53 and ive found dp blueberry and white widow autos to be the quicker and hardier varieties. The others are good but they take longer and may be more of a gamble for you but if your indoor set up was bigger you could of started them off earlier.
Ive noticed too that the hazier varieties need prolonged good sunshine to develop big buds so bear that in mind when making your selection.
So i guess my advice for a first time outdoor grow up north would be to grow indica cross autos mainly but grow atleast one sativa auto as you ever know. Its also nice to have a selection.
goodluck
