Basicly. 3 gal or 5 gallon pots ...for blue himalaylan diesel and shark bite... I even thought 3 for shark bite and 5 for BHD bc shark bite is a small auto strain...The reason I'm even considering this is bc I have a 4 x 4 with 1000 hps and I can fit more in the tent with small pots but don't want to sacrifice yield....any opinions would be fantastic thanks

I think that would work just fine.
3 gallons should be plenty, the decision between 3 and 5 gallon pots with autos is a decision based more on watering frequency than plant size. You will likely see maximum autoflower size in a 3 gallon, but a 5 May give you an extra day or two between watering.

You sure about that? I had several 5 gallon buckets on my last grow that were PACKED with roots all the way to the very bottom. I do think (based on what I've found and some opinions on here) that there is a point where the returns become diminishing on the larger pot sizes (depending on the auto strain,) but generally the bigger the pot, the more potential for a bigger plant since there's less chance for root contention/root binding.
The watering frequency would depend more on the qualities of your growing medium; not just the amount of growing medium. 5 gallons of Pro-Mix with a good deal of perlite is going to drain much faster than 5 gallons of dirt you pulled out of your back yard. Know what I mean?

It’s all down to genetics. I have found out coco, 6l airpots and multiple feedings daily is absolutely enough to grow a 7-8 oz tree if genetics potential for a big plant is there depending on the growers’ skills of course. You may put a small auto in 100 litter pot and get a dwarf "My 2 cents"
It is entirely dependant on his substrate which he neglected to mention, I agree. All things being equal (The Medium) a larger volume will require less frequent feedings. If your schedule limits your garden time, fewer plants in larger pots will require the least maintenence. If you grow in coco, and can automate multi feeds or water atleast once a day, the growth will be more vigorous and hydro - like.
I am of the philosophy that the more airation, and frequent watering are ideal. I grow in 2 liter coco and feed 2x a day, and the plants thrive.. also coco is unique, where less tends to be more. It was to much of a burden by no flower, so now I will be usng 5 gallons and feeding every 2-3 days
I am interested in coco...Is there a link you could share...I'm doing ffof and perlite. ...and does coco grow them faster? I heard hps does as well...and btw I have a BHD that's the biggest of my first 6 and all have seed except it...what should I do? 12 12 it? Or wait ...I had 2 shark bite males and 1 female and 1 BHD female and male...should this one which is still not showing
