I was wondering if it would work to pull up my plant by the roots and stick it in a bucket of water to flush for a couple days

I know, its a strange question lol

Not a pro at this this stuff...but I would assume that would not hold any benefits to a flush at the end of a cycle. The shock would more than likely halt all activity. and cause major dropping of leaves and possibly set forward mold/rot issues, since the plant can not transpire moisture due to trauma. Iam sure the Pros will chime in to correct me if iam off.

That makes sense actually. Thanks

I'm from the camp of "no extra trauma".

Love to build on adventurous ideas, what if you gently slid the whole root ball out transplant style and dropped the whole thing in a gentle 5gal pail single dwc to dissolve the soil and provide fresh oxygenated water to all portions of the root relatively trauma free?

All flushes are strange because flushing is a myth. A plant takes from soil what it needs and its a one way flow, you are not removing anything from a plant by flushing it and nobody smokes roots. Just grow it out and enjoy without worrying about flushing.
