STUNTED SICK DROOPY PURPLE STEMMED SEEDLINGS

No they are generic hydroponic nutes. We have no cal mag substitute here :(. Ill have to use limestone or ill end up having cal mag defecencies. Im not concerned about yield. Even if i get a few grams off of it id be happy. Its more about the learning experience for me. If i could figure out what my mistakes were and maybe fix this id be satisfied. Once this gets fixed id germinate another seed(i only have 3 left). This has set me behind by a week. Yes it does seem like it has multiple problems and im not even being able to pin-point from where to start.

Another thing. The top of the medium is shit dry yet they are still drooping like they are overwatered and are stiff. The bottom is still wet(put finger in holes) and heavy! Its been 5-6 days(ormore) since i watered till run off! Why is it taking so long to dry?

It looks like there is Calcium and Magnesium in your bottled nutes. I wouldn’t add anymore lime. The red spots on your coco I cannot see from here. Is it some kind of growth? If so, you may be looking at some kind of Mold which means you kept it too wet. Coco will hold a lot of water. It is possible to overwater a seedling in coco. The hard part of growing a sprout in the final container is watering because you are watering a huge pot relative to the sprout. When you water to run off, there are no roots to use up the water so it will take awhile to dry up at the bottom but it’s dry on top. Don’t water to run off until that seedling is much larger. Water small volumes around the seedling outside of the span of its leaves so the developing roots search for water. This will help expand their root system.

There are spots on the leaves of the seedling :( not the coco. Its increasing. Here another photo this is the black splotch

I would mix up some 1/4 strength nutes and water a ring around the seedling, not at the seedling. Measure how much you water and document so you know if you need to water more or less the next time. Even though there is water in the bottom of the pot, your seedling will start drying out as it’s tap root won’t be that far down.

just gave it nutes water. Around 35-40ml

Keep and eye on the coco around the sprout and make sure it doesn’t dry right out. It can be light and dry right on top but it will be moist underneath the surface. Just don’t soak it. As it grows larger keep watering around the outside of the sprout. The existing leaves won’t change back to look healthy, it’s the new growth that you want to watch. If it comes up green and healthy then you’re on the right track.

Man everything is alright. But the new leaves droop :( they arent straight and praying. Is it chronic over watering? And yes good advice ill make sure the new leaves are green! If not ill report. Maybe a lil droop is normal snd they will start drooping less as they grow. Also the stems purpleness has decrease. Thanks for your help and advice! :)

You’ve likely over watered but hopefully she will bounce back with regular water and dry cycles. It’s tough to water sprouts in a large pot. Be patient and let her do her thing. You’re welcome for the advice but I’m no expert and there are experts around here. If you have any questions, I’m more than happy to assist. I’ve had fair success growing in coco. Once you get the hang of it I think you’ll like it. Best of luck
